Needs work
The different tabs at the bottom of the app are confusing, There is no built in help or user guide for the app. You’re just expected to stumble through it and learn from mistakes? Not a good experience from a high end lighting system.
Biggest complaint? I never know when the timer/schedule mode is on or enabled. That is the biggest feature for this app and it should be very clear!
Please request feedback from users of the app. It is not user friendly or intuitive as stated in the description. I have to play around with the app every time the lights, to relearn how to use it because it is so not intuitive.

I love my light system, but the app for the programming leaves a lot to be desired. It’s annoying if you have more than one controller because you have to duplicate the programming and each of them to synchronize them. Not to mention that every time you open the application, it defaults to day one, and you have to reprogram everything from that point forward. Additionally, the timers in the calendar are very awkward. I never really know if I’m saving it or if it will work. I am not a software or IT expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I am reasonably comfortable with software and technology but this is cumbersome and difficult to use. Also, the pre-loaded light options are just blah. I was watching a TikTok, and somebody was going through their light patterns because they had surprised their spouse, and they had architectural settings and all these awesome non-Christmas lighting designs. Yes, it offers you Valentine’s Day, but I can do red and pink lights alone.
No automatic sunset adjustment
The most basic feature of any exterior lighting system should be the ability to automatically turn on at sunset. Not this app. If I set a range of dates for a scheduled program, it applies one sunset time to the entire range. Last time I checked, sunrise and sunset don’t happen at the same time every day. Been almost a year since I got my trimlight system and it’s still not implemented. I tried just manually creating a schedule for every single day so I could put the proper sunset time in, but alas, it has a 60 schedule max.
Not to mention this thing can’t handle overlapping schedules. So if I have a daily schedule programmed but then on certain days I want to override it with another program (like a holiday pattern) it apparently can get confused.
Sorry, but this app still needs a lot of work to be truly usable.
