txtodo is a minimalist open-source todo list app made by figbert and inspired by jeff huang. it lists your immediate, short-term tasks to help you get things done without overthinking it.

with txtodo, you list all your tasks for the day in the morning. you can make them as detailed or as simple as you want – the notes feature allows you to store pesky details out of sight. throughout the day, you check off tasks as you complete them. anything unfinished at the end of the day is discarded so you can start fresh tomorrow. you can also create up to three long-term tasks that "float" with you from day-to-day.

Distraction-free, actual to do list app

Txtodo is a simple, clean to do list app. It fits my needs perfectly.

The app itself, unlike so many to do list apps, is not a distraction. It is free of menus and colors. It is visually quiet and calm. It doesn't beep at me. It doesn't push notifications. It does not ask me to review it. I also didn't have to spend time learning how to use txtodo.

The one feature I found myself wanting after using txtodo for a week is a historical log of past to dos.
