Vmobile is a mobile video surveillance application provided by QNAP. By connecting Vmobile to Turbo NAS (with Surveillance Station enabled) and VioStor NVR, you can monitor IP cameras and play back recording videos as long as you have network access, and you can connect to and manage your video surveillance system anytime, anywhere.

Major features of Vmobile
1.Support monitoring several servers/channels from thousands of network cameras of different brands by simply connecting to any available Turbo NAS (with Surveillance Station enabled) or VioStor NVR on the network.
2.Support advanced monitoring features, such as adjustable display mode, PTZ and preset position control, instant notification of alarm events, and snapshot.
3. Can playback recording data from different monitoring channels and by different alarm events.
-Vmobile could not instantly display the button for creating preset points in live views.
-Vmobile would stop functioning after a long session of live monitoring.
-Vmobile could not connect to servers running NVR 4.2.x.

App support is a bit...lacking. Doesn’t support resolutions higher than 1080p, it seems. Crashes or hangs frequently, requiring a phone restart to work again. Frankly, I expect better from QNAP.
App has come a long way in the last few years. Pretty stable now. But still is clunky. Biggest annoyance for me is no time zone support. Only time I use the app is if I’m traveling and I’m usually 3-4 time zones away so I can’t replay anything for 3-4 hours after it’s happened because the time selection area only lets you select up to the current time on your phone. So if it’s 9pm where your cameras are but 6pm where you are, you can only playback cameras up until 6pm. Only way around this is to manually set the time on your phone to the time where your cameras are. But this often messes up other things on your phone.
I suppose that this app is developed in China where there is only one time zone makes this get overlooked.
Worth noting that the computer applications do not suffer from this bug.
Does not work as advertised
PLEASE, PLEASE QNAP - update this app ASAP. I invested $3500 into your high-end NVR just to find out that your remote monitoring app for iOS is a complete rubbish. Keeps crashing every few seconds. Keeps freezing my phone for minutes. What a terrible quality! Please resolve ASAP!!!
Despite a couple of updates claiming to have contained bug fixes, the app is still freezing my phone and remains a useless garbage. Shame on you QNAP for treating your customers like POS.
Now getting intermittent "Cannot decide video stream" error, and as a result, unable to view any video. I want to return my QNAP unit and never deal with crappy software designed by irresponsible company.
