The Zwift Companion App is the perfect companion to Zwift. Stay connected when you're on the go. Pair it with your computer over the same Wifi network and use it as a Zwift game controller when you're riding.

At a glance see recent activities in your feed, training plan details, upcoming events and progress on your goals.

Explore upcoming events, see who is going, and sign up. When you sign up, you can have it added to your calendar.

See what the people you follow have been doing in Zwift. Want to pat someone on the back for a ride they did, give them a Ride On right in the feed.

Create weekly or monthly goals to keep on track.

Want to see where you are in the world while you're Zwifting? Check out the map. Tap on your friend to send a Ride On or start a chat.

When paired with the game, the workout screen lets you see and control your workout!

Chat with people Zwifting around you or have a direct conversation with someone in particular. If you are in an event, you can chat with those in your group.

Don't have a bike computer? We've got you covered. The Dashboard provides all the key metrics you expect right at your fingertips - watts, speed, distance, elevation, time, cadence and heart rate.

Mix it up with fellow Zwifters. Give an elbow flick when you want someone to pull through or wave to say "hi". Send real time encouragement or egg someone on with audio clips. Choose to see the action from four different POV and capture it with a snapshot. Actions are fun.

With access to Apple Health, Zwift Companion for your Apple Watch may be used to read your heart rate data live into Zwift and save an activity into the Apple Health ecosystem.

Scroll up or down to see everyone on course in front or behind you. See how much time separates you, check their power output (w/kg) and how many laps they've completed. Private message anyone.

End your ride and automatically upload it to one of your supported fitness sites right from your phone.

Full Access

Users should be able to see their full stats, change profile/avatar/bike, see challenges/medals, etc. without starting a ride (which we then delete in order to start the ride with a fresh clock...). The companion app should have these features. Or at least fix the game to enable access without starting a ride.

(If I just don’t know how to do this, please tell me and I’ll edit review to 5 stars.)

Ps: please partner with iFit/NordicTrack - would be so fun to run in the Zwift world on our treadmill without a foot pod, automatically control incline, etc.

Great app, would love a few minor tweaks

I really love the app and it is a great companion to my Apple TV Zwift app. It’s like having a hi tech remote. I especially like the new workout screen but have a couple of nit picks with it. I have a controllable trainer so I am concentrating more on cadence than power during the workouts. The cadence font is so small and nested right under the power reading that it is hard to read, especially when really working hard. Perhaps moving it to the top left of the power arc and heart rate to the top right would make it all easier to read. There is some open screen real estate In those places, especially if the power arc is just a tad smaller. Additionally, the app is super power hungry. I went from 85% to 20% in 40 minutes. Not sure how to fix this considering everything it is doing, so I now plug my phone in (which requires a wire that I don’t want around my bike!) Lastly, it loses sync about once per workout and I have to close and reopen the app. Again, I consider these minor but if they can be fixed, I would have no problem upping my rating to 5 stars.

Zwift is awesome but the companion app is not

Zwift is great but this app needs some improvement. Right off the bat when I am using it on my iPad I notice it is not full screen. Instead it is a phone app that they were too lazy too convert into a native iPad app.

Where is the average speed? Hard to believe something so basic is missing. I know Zwift is all about power because speed is affected by your in game bike, but I still want to know. Also the map could be better. While seeing where you are in a particular course is somewhat interesting, I would really like to know the length and elevation of my ride so it would be great if there was a map mode with a ride profile showing upcoming hills, etc.

The icons in the ride need labels. I never know what these do so most of them I just don’t use. And the power ups I usually need to press twice otherwise I miss it.
