The Bankmed application is simple to use and provides a convenient way to access your information on your Medical Aid - anytime, anywhere.
Bankmed Medical Scheme:
View your plan benefits and your Savings details, (should your plan include savings). Search for your most recent healthcare claim details with 12 months of claims’ history, view your approved chronic conditions and track benefit usage. Search for a healthcare professional and view your Electronic Heath Record (EHR).
Balance members can now access Active Rewards:
Active Rewards for Balance members encourages and rewards you for getting active. Achieve your Active rewards weekly exercise goals, earn fitness points and get rewarded with a play on the gameboard to reveal Miles – the rewards currency that you can redeem for a range of exciting rewards in the rewards mall.
The application is available for any Bankmed Medical Scheme member. You are required to register on the Bankmed website (www.bankmed.co.za) before you will be able to log into the Bankmed App. Your username and password for the App will be the same as your username and password for the Bankmed website. To access your personalised Active Rewards exercise goals, Balance members need to activate the Active Rewards benefit in the Bankmed app.

This App reads / writes data from Apple’s Health App with your permission.
Balance members can now activate Active Rewards, and start earning Miles to spend on things like coffees, smoothies, and shopping rewards for getting active.
This app only offers support and updates for iOS 13 and above. Please update your OS.
Ratings and Reviews
One of the worst apps, settings only provide terms and conditions, nothing can be change or updated and if you click on update - it opens up the web browser 😓 might as well visit the website. There’s no point to this app
Defect found with Settings
I just logged into the app after the latest update to fix the login issue. Great done, but now there appears to be an issue with the Settings option. When I click on Settings the app ‘closes’, but it is still open in the background and you are again required to insert your login credentials.
Login after update
Something is wrong. I can’t login. Clicking on ‘Can’t Login” the app tells me that my phone is not connected to the internet while I’m able to browse to the website.
Please fix ad I have claims to be submitted.
