Description

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

Great app, just not Apple Watch compatible.

Great app, and fantastic news that freestyle Libre 2 will now be available.

Please can you look into having the application compatible with the Apple iWatch . Currently I use the Tomato app with my Miao Miao and am able to view my glucose readings on my watch it would be great if this could all be done through the Libre link App.

Thank you for the note - we will look in to this.

Good overall with a few areas of improvement and bugs

I have been using this software alongside my Freestyle Libre sensor for the past few months now to manage my glucose.

Features I like:
- HbA1c estimate
- Daily graph with target range
- Glucose patterns
- Sharing data with your chosen healthcare team

Areas of improvement:
- A notification on when your glucose rapidly increases or decreases at any point in time will help Diabetics notice and manage an event earlier.
- A notification when your glucose reaches dangerous ranges such as low or high readings.
- If the sensor and software could manage testing blood sugar and sending it to your app without having to scan your sensor, it would allow you to set up a testing schedule where the sensor tests and sends the results as a notification to the user without the user having to perform a scan first.

Bugs:
- At times when scanning your sensor, the output text would be replaced by the instruction text saying “Hold the top of your iPhone near the sensor” instead of showing your glucose levels. You would have to scan the sensor again to get a reading.

Disconnect notification

I am on my 5th sensor and every time I start a new one it keeps disconnecting every few mins resulting in notifications being sent. It is extremely annoying and quite off putting considering it’s a device used to monitor blood glucose and you can’t really if you need to scan the sensor every couple of minutes. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled and restarted my phone numerous times and still it continues to disconnect. My phone is always on me, so range isn’t an issue. I have an iPhone running the latest iOS. Please assist as I cannot get any assistance in my country of South Africa.
