What a brilliant way to get around Cape Town and enjoy the surroundings of a magnificent City. The ride is easy and usage is simple and easy. Even for someone who is not technology advanced it was simple to get going! World class service at its best

i’ve used the go now app a couple of times and was relatively satisfied with the service. One day i uploaded money to purchase a day pass, not knowing the price increased, and uploaded to little money. i then wanted to load a custom amount so it’s enough for a day pass but was unable to. i then emailed, whatsapped and tried calling to ask what i can do and received no feedback. A week or so later i see my app is no longer working on my phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and it still doesn’t work. i also emailed them after to ask how i can either make use of my credit on the app or get a refund but no communication. Very disappointed.

I'm giving this a generous 4 stars because I think the concept is excellent and I'm excited that this kind of transportation is finally teaching SA.

Pricing is great, simple, straight forward and doesn't break the bank. Comparable to taking the bus, which I believe is your biggest competition in the commuting space.

The actual bikes are not great. They look like ebikes, have batteries like ebikes, are heavy like ebikes but are not ebikes. Ie you're just cycling a normal, extra heavy bike. This is worse when the bikes are the tiny "BMX" style ones. I'm not rolling to work on one of those!

Also found another issue with a bike with brakes that were such a weird angle I had to break with my thumb. Who does that? It was not safe!

So all in all... I feel some work could be done on the bike side of things. But absolutely love the concept and assuming I can find a decent bike, I will opt to cycle over the bus to work.
