Scrolling issues on new app version

Overall your new app looks great. Every so often, when opening an article, it only scrolls down to a certain point and then no further.
I’m running latest iOS.

I also like to listen to music or listen to podcasts while scrolling through the news or social media. Your app does not allow for that. Every time a video add comes along, it stops the sound. You would greatly improve user experience if you change that. I do understand that ads are part of the package, but most other platforms have video ads that do not interrupt music or podcasts.

Ads are Incredibly Frustrating

I was very happy to take out a subscription are support journalism and News24 which I’ve been reading for free for years. However, I completely understand that ads are needed to support view viewing. But I would have thought that paying subscribing would be freed from the relentless ads in articles. I find myself inadvertently touching ads which then take me to their website, that I end up just giving up and stopping reading. I’m at the point where I may just give up my subscription. The ads in articles are way over the top; there is a huge ad almost every paragraph. I would quite honestly rather pay slightly more each month to have all ads removed, although this shouldn’t be necessary with a paying subscription. The ads do absolutely nothing for me except to detract from the experience.

Incredibly buggy too - have to force close and reopen the app multiple times per day.

IOS frustrating video glitch

Thanks for listening!! I updated a few days ago and the annoying video autoplay was gone... But then stepped in the “interaction freeze” which required a force quit and restart to solve...

I’ve just updated again and this seems to be solved now...

If I can make a suggestion though,
Please bring in the “spinning wheel” to show something is being loaded... from selecting the article to actual display on some articles takes between 5-10 seconds..

It would be nice to show that something is happening while you wait for a blank screen to pop up with what it is you want to see!!

I’m upping this to 3 stars for the effort you guys put in.

Once fixed I’ll test and take it up again to 5 stars!!

I run a iPhone X and I’m really frustrated...
Please please please solve the video glitch!!!

When an article is opened and there is a video linked in the article body or the advertising block then the video panel automatically opens up and try as you like you cannot close it.

Sometimes if you turn the phone landscape then it will close and take you back to the article!

This is most annoying because most of the time I have to force quit the app and restart it then go back to the article with the hope that I can actually get to read the article!
