Ratings and Reviews
Bad service
There has been on more than one occasion when the order has been delayed well over the expected delivery time. When things like this happen I do understand circumstances affect the order, but should the customer in question not be updated. At that point cancelling the order is pointless because you will still be charged. If you have better platform for vendors to communicate the situation when instances arise when the order will be delayed longer than the time expected. You then give the customer an option on what to do either wait or come in or something. Not to mention certain drivers are quite careless with the food the are delivering. Please reaffirm the fact the no one want half their drink spilled and then the paper bag which my food is in then soaks it up the moisture. I have had decent experiences but this is just a reminder that there is room for improvement.
Problem with a refund
The app works beautifully until the day you have any sort of problem with them. Customer support non existent. All they offer is a webpage when you can pick a problem from the drop down list. If your problem is not contemplated there poor you. There’s no one to speak to. No phone number you can call, not even an email address to log your complaints. You are at their mercy. I requested a delivery on Uber eats a few days ago. Everything regarding the delivery went well and food was delivery on time. A few days later I felt like having the same food again. Went back on the app when it requested me to rate the previous delivery, which I did, and then it asked me if I wanted to give a tip do the driver, which I did not choose as I had already given a tip, in cash, on the day of delivery. For some odd reason the system interpreted that as “yes” and randomly picked the amount to give as a tip to the driver. I’ve been trying to get hold of Uber for I don’t know how long to get a refund. Not a single option on their website. It only states the amount of tip can be amended until 48h of the delivery. Now my money is gone and there’s no one to help me… my loss!! Thanks Uber eats. I was very happy with the services but after this I will definitely delete the app and let everyone know about your shocking customer support.
Don’t use services, they’re scammers
In 2021, I purchased Uber Gift Card to use in app and like anyone else I have a gmail account and an iCloud account which I normally use but this time I decided to use my gmail with the gift card and it took the credit on the app as it shows in my wallet. SINCE 2021!!! Whenever I try ordering it states No New User Promotion Allowed For Order and I turned off the credits to use normal bank card but still. I further went to buy another gift card thinking maybe that one expired but how could that be possible as it happened from the day of purchase when trying to order on Ubereats. I have reached out to “HELP” and all you get is people who tell you how to use the Uber Credits as if I have never used them in my iCloud account until one of them finally admitted that my account has been flagged by their fraud detection system and there was a temporary restriction not allowing any orders to be placed and the supposed flag would be removed. After 3 YEARS!!!!i have been reaching out every other month trying to either get my gift cards or have this stupid restriction removed so I can finally order but even now, UBER REFUSES TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK OR FIX MY ACCOUNT. In essence, NEVER EVER MAKE USE OF UBER THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER ASSIST IN GETTING BACK YOUR MONEY OR HELP YOU, ALL THESE SUPPOSED HELP REPRESENTATIVES CARE ABOUT IS ENDING THE CHAT.
