A review

So my experience with delivery was great, the drivers were friendly and my food was delivered whilst the food was still hot.

My only problem however, has more to do with the app itself. More specifically, the fact that orders cannot be over certain monetary limits. I understand that this may serve the purpose of ensuring that if a person isn’t able to pay, that great losses aren’t incurred. However, for the rest of us trustworthy folk, it leaves us unable to order food for a large group, which is slightly inconvenient seeing that deliveries are actually more beneficial for larger orders as opposed to in-store purchase.

However, other than that, the app worked smoothly and efficiently and I was pretty happy with the effortlessness of use and the convenience it provided. My food was delivered quite quickly which is impressive, thank you.

Order disappeared

I had put our order into the cart and when payment was due, was asked to put banking details in again, which I did. It took forever to confirm and message came through from bank that money had been deducted. Then the app said it was awaiting confirmation from the restaurant which took forever. It took so long that I eventually decided to close and reopen the app to refresh it and when I did, the order was gone. No trace of it. Tried to find a number to call on the app and couldn’t find one. I don’t think it’s a lot to provide a number customers can call if there are issues. Looked on Google and found a number that I called and after selecting options, it rang for a long time with no answer. I held for about 15 minutes before I hung up. Selected the help option in the app and found an option to send through a message. An email was sent to me and after I replied informing them of what had happened and sending them a screenshot of the message from the bank in the banking app… dead silence. Called call centre this morning and “matter will be escalated”. “By when can I expect to hear back from you?”, “depends on when they get back to me”. Surely there are guidelines on this to provide to customer… I can’t be the first to ask how long I am expected to wait. Very frustrating!

Not to mention, my banking details were altered (to Mr) so it keeps asking me to reinsert them and there is no way for me to remove those details and save the correct details. Not impressed.

App no longer takes Amex cards

A few days ago, the app was changed and although the payment screen says that visa and Amex cards are accepted, the Amex card rejected the payment but the Visa card went through.
There were multiple messages backwards and forwards, getting standard responses which did not answer the question asked and at least two offers to have someone call me (which never happened).
Eventually I phoned the head office and was told that they do not accept Amex cards.
I messaged MrD a few more times and stated that I would no longer be using their service because up till now I have always paid with the Amex card.
Still not one attempt to get in touch to discuss it.
