Great Features, But Serious Heating & Battery Drain Issues on iPhone 16 Pro Max

As a paid Lightroom user, I expected a smooth and optimized experience — especially on a high-end device like the iPhone 16 Pro Max. While the editing tools are powerful and the RAW file handling is excellent, the app unfortunately falls short in performance efficiency.Every time I edit RAW files, the phone heats up significantly within minutes. This isn’t just a minor warmth — it’s uncomfortable to hold and clearly stresses the device. What’s more concerning is the noticeable impact on battery health over time. Since regularly using Lightroom, I’ve seen a faster-than-normal drop in my battery’s maximum capacity, which is unacceptable for a premium app on a premium phone.Battery drains rapidly during editing, and it feels like the app is poorly optimized for newer iPhones despite being such a professional tool. For someone who pays for the full version, this is disappointing.Adobe seriously needs to optimize Lightroom for thermal and battery performance on iOS — especially for RAW workflows. Until then, mobile editing on this app feels risky for long-term phone health.

One thing i like the most about it is it makes everything look realer and 10x clearer with picture details, exposure adjustments, and overall image quality. It, additionally offers colour grading alternatives, doing it as per your convenience and liking. I would honestly make a suggestion to anyone, looking to enhance their photography skills, the tools are worthy of trial. I’ve been able to experiment with editing on multiple different stages for this app merely. It facilitates realistic interpretations of images. Honestly, it’s worth giving a shot at. Try it out.
