New update has so many errors

The new update has removed the bar where you can fast forward or rewind. It’s also annoying that a movie doesn’t start from the beginning when you’ve watched it, instead it will play where you last watched it even if you finished the movie last time. A restart option would be good! Also the subtitles are annoying, having to turn this off everytime gets frustrating.

very good content, terrible usability

Ver good shows, large variety, good quality etc etc. what really drags it down is the usability of the interface. The video player should definitely have more controls such as a way to look at episodes while in a current episode you’re watching. A button to skip to the next and previous episode should definitely be implemented to save from having to exit the episode to find it (especially inefficient to go back an episode if you’ve gone through the “continue watching” process), both a skip forward and back about 10 or so seconds would be helpful on tv. Not only that but when you go to continue watching an episode there should be an easy was to return to the episode selection. Instead you have to search it up every time, which is especially cumbersome if the continue watching keeps recommending a past or future episode which has been partially watched, there’s no easy way to just go to the episode menu. Plus the search function makes it not very easy to find new shows. Majority of this stuff feels like basic intuition which is why it’s annoying it’s missing

Quite frankly, Disney+ is a terrible app. I’m not sure whether they’re trying too hard to avoid being too much like Netflix or the people in charge are just incompetent, but the app is not user friendly. It’s extremely difficult to see what is new, very little new content is added, and my watchlist only shows some of the shows I’ve added, not to mention that the “continue watching” feature, without fail, always starts a few episodes behind where I am in a series. I use streaming apps to play on my chromecast, and Disney+ is hopeless for this. Forget trying to continue an episode from where you left off - it will always start from the beginning. Deleting something off your watchlist? Let’s hope you’re not doing a clear out - this app will bring you back to the top of the list each time so you lose your place. Genres are sorted alphabetically, so you have to manually sort through tonnes of rubbish you don’t want to watch to find something good.Don’t get me wrong - I will be continuing to pay for and use this app because it has some great content that I’d like to watch, but the app is hard to use, poorly designed, and doesn’t work very well. You’d think the people at Disney would know how to fix something like this, but apparently not. The content is the ONLY reason to get Disney+. How do you hope to be a proper competitor to other streaming providers with the amount of problems in your app?
