Credit One was my first starter card after years without a credit card of any kind. The reasonable annual fee is worth the perks that the card offers, for instance if i use it for auto rental fees they cover the upgraded insurance - not total insurance but the upgrade from your personal liability - and additional warranty on particular products purchased, & more. That was my agreement, others may vary. After about six months of timely payments i received offers for other cards without an annual fee, & lower interest rates. At the same time Credit One offered to increase my limit, offered another card with no fee & a higher limit, & lowered their interest on any balance carried, so they stayed competitive. Credit One’s customer service is first-rate, comparable to big-name cards. The app on my iphone is simple & user-friendly so I’m downloading it to my ipad now. Easy to use online with windows too. I’m an elderly retiree who considers myself technologically challenged so if i can use it almost anyone can. In summary i highly recommend Credit One especially as a starter card, for the credit-challenged, or if the perks make it worth the annual fee. I renew because their updates keep them competitive, and that how long your accounts/cards have been open is considered in a credit score - with Credit One being my oldest.

Okay I’m going to try to explain the problems I have with Credit One. Maybe I’m just an idiot but I’ll try to explain it the best I can. So I have an annual or monthly fee whether I use the credit card or not. That’s fine. I get it. When the fee debits from my available credit, I pay it immediately. I have it set up where I receive an email alert as soon as the fee is posted to my account. The payment is usually debited from checking account pretty quickly so all is good right. No, no, Credit One still reports that I have a balance to the credit bureaus even though my balance was paid in full immediately. This really pisses me off. Now, Credit One is making me verify my checking account every time I go to make a payment. It takes 3-5 business days before my account is verified before I can make a payment. They will not allow me to use an alternate payment method until my checking account is verified. Keep in mind, I’ve already verified my checking account and I use said account to make multiple payments. What a freaking joke. This company is a set up from the start and they will burn you every chance they get. I highly recommend you do not use this company. They are a scam. Thank you for your time.

I have a question about this App if it’s possible, is there a way when you click payment and you go through payment methods is there a way to actually that you can come up with the idea that put a debit card payment in instead of bank account only I have a regular debit card which is a MasterCard, but it goes through my DirectExpress I was wondering when you guys update the app again if you could put that option in there to add that debit card so I can pay my bill from the app without trying to put in bank account numbers routing numbers I called to make my payment what chairs Aviv seven dollars because they’ll take it from my debit card but I can’t have them take it from the debit card from the app and self. Is there any way you can possibly put that feature or option in your next update. Thank you. Keep up the good work. because I have the regular banking account which is through my MasterCard, Direct Express far as having a regular checking account know my check goes on there, so is there a way that you can set it up to where you can actually select different types of payment method cards thank you

I got this card 5 years ago to rebuild my credit after a charge off when no one else would give me credit, and for that I am forever grateful. I understand the risk involved on their side, so fees and high interest rates are necessary. But the interest rate did drop 10% over the last few years as my credit worthiness improved bringing it in line with my capital one card. I just wish that as your score improved they would change other factors such as removing the annual fee and the fee to make a payment. These are why I don’t really use the card much. And if it wouldn’t negatively impact my score I would’ve cancelled it. The app is pretty basic. It gets the job done. I love my free credit score. But I don’t like the way it lists the transactions. It should show like a bank account does: transaction -/+$xx, then resulting balance $xx. But it’s nice and easy to make a payment. That’s they whole reason I got the app. I got tired of paying $10 for every payment. I really don’t like that there is no auto pay option. This is the only bill I have not set up on auto pay and as a result have been late a few times because I don’t get any notifications and all my other bills are paid automatically. I don’t think about it until it’s too late sometimes. I seriously don’t like that because it negatively impacts my score.
