This app is built around the core concept that it's not enough to simply "stop", but that you must learn new ways to seek reward, pleasure, and dopamine.
It's a little silly, but earning a Sunflower for every day you stay sober, is a strong way to reinforce the rewards of sobriety.
It's not a "digital make believe Sunflower".
It's a day sober. It's a dinner with your family. It's a paper you wrote for school. It's a new skill you improved. It's your body regaining its health. It's a step towards not just recovery, but to a better and improved life.
One Sunflower at a time.
The app comes with built in guided journaling exercises for activities and cravings. If you follow them, they are designed to help you associate activities like exercise, being social, and learning, with reward.
Learn to associate something like exercise with reward or pleasure, and watch as your cravings change from destructive to empowering.
Looking to stop drinking or smoking? I hope you find Sunflower the absolute best way to keep track of your sobriety.

I downloaded Sunflower in the beginning of my journey to quit smoking for good. I had quit smoking 21 years ago when I had my kids and then when my son was little but not too little I started back to smoking and to this day I wish I’d never picked them up again because I lost so much on seeing them grow up and or watching them do the things that they loved doing but instead I smoked cigarettes and had to step away just to smoke a cigarette. I grew up around smokers and have had loved ones die because they smoked. My last cigarette for the rest of my life was last May 2025. The year prior to that I had lost my oldest cousin to cancer. Our grandfather died of cancer in 2000. I had an uncle die of cancer in 2018, a great aunt die of cancer in 2019. So smoking and cancer ran through both sides of my family. Both of my parents smoke as well. Hence why I started smoking and not only that my friends smoked. I so wish I had never started but I did and I finally decided to quit for good. Using sunflower helped me but I also forgot I had downloaded the app. I eventually found some of the breath link devices off of Facebook and started wearing those around my neck. I’ve actually broke the chain on the first two but I have another one around my next and I wear it daily. I not only used it to help with the urges of quitting smoking but I also use it for anxiety attacks. My journey of being smoke free has been amazing and I never want to go back to smoker ever again. I want to be able to see my kids go through college and get married and have kids of their own someday.
Highly recommend

I’m afraid to really disclose how great this app is because I don’t want them charging crazy prices to use. I hope they keep it affordable so other can truly seek help. This app is 10/10. Through the free use part they offer help and meetings. Loads of encouragement, even when you slip up, it’s easy to get back on track. I responded to a weekly email they send to give highlights and to check in and make sure you’re okay. I didn’t expect a response. If I got one I figured it would be AI (maybe it was) but I actually had someone write me back and they went over every concern I had. Gave me insight. Gave me several suggestions, and very encouraging and warm words. It was a long response. Like someone took time to actually hear me. That was huge. They have meetings weekly. You can join video chat or join in with your camera off. All good stuff. Please give it a shot. Also, I love seeing every day that I collected a new flower. Actually seeing progress has been a huge help too.
The best app out there to be sober. for real

Out of all the apps to complain about being free, this is not the one. You get 30 days free trial, which is up to you, after that I believe it’s eight dollars or something like that idk/idc because it’s not much, it could be $15 at most. Who cares it’s not much for the things that you’re getting out of this app. I don’t complain about it. This is better than going to AA meetings in person where people are depressed, it has its own therapist so you don’t have to pay thousands of dollars on therapy and it shows you a visual of what your soul is looking like as we clean up. It has a bee which we can talk to at any time for anything. Never seen anything like this and it’s very very helpful. Thank you creator of sunflower.
Love it!!

I’ve really been enjoying the Sunflower app. It’s honestly been a great tool for staying focused on my goals and my sobriety. 🌻 Some days it’s easy to get distracted or overwhelmed, but this app helps bring me back to what actually matters.I like that it encourages you to check in with yourself, stay accountable, and keep your priorities in front of you. It’s simple to use and doesn’t feel overwhelming like some apps do. It’s more like a daily reminder to stay grounded and keep moving forward. For anyone working on personal growth, recovery, or just trying to stay focused on their goals, I definitely recommend giving it a try. It’s been a really positive addition to my routine and helps keep me on track one day at a time. 💛
