The Plaud recorder and this app have in tandem changed the way I get my thoughts from my brain into reality. I occasionally use it for meetings and phone calls as it is mostly advertised, but the vast majority of use is completely personal. The ability to start recording with the start of a physical button and have it be transcribed and summarized by AI is something I have BEGGED for constantly over the last decade. This is without a doubt the best product I have ever encountered for that purpose. Let me be clear. There are some issues with Plaud. The cost is quite high. The charger is obscure and hard to source if lost. It sometimes takes a couple tries to get recordings going. But as a whole, if you are like me and desperate to get fleeting thoughts from your head into your phone with as little friction as possible, there is simply nothing superior to Plaud available. I hope to see updates in the future which improve the software, firmware, and app-side of this tool. Until then, I will be a power user of this life-changing resource.

Plaud quickly synthesizes input into smart, organized, and useful formats. For client consultations, I get a thorough record of our discussion, which easily translates into a scope of work, saving me at least 15 minutes each time versus manually creating scope. Plus the benefit of not missing anything and shown as described by the client. This, rather than translating what I think I hear once while taking notes, and again when transferring those notes.Additionally, there is a summary that is more internal, looking through a lens of an experienced, quality vendor. In this section, more AI is used to actually understand, whether that’s an emphasis on long term value, balancing client preferences, or project management suggestions. The other feature I like is the mind map. It’s like an outline of thought but organized into thoughtful categories, sort of like a bubble chart put into a hierarchical format. It’s totally fascinating. Always works. Easy to use. Super thin. Very happy with my purchase.

They don’t pay me to say that, but if they understood just how much I love and talk about this product, they would.I don’t know if you’ve ever hit a creative problem where you ran out of frameworks to solve it with, but if you have, then you know what happens next. That’s usually the point where you have to write it out or talk it out. And I love writing, but I’ve got big ideas and a previously traumatized ADHD monkey riding my back.No one will ever understand you like you do. PLAUD gives me what no other person can right now: a space to speak without trying to hold every detail in my head. And it has the added benefit of transcribing, summarizing, and grouping everything, so I finally have handles on what I’m even trying to say.I’m sure it’s useful for business meetings, but I don’t have those. What I do have are a lot of other very real problems that need the same “come together” process, even if it’s usually just me talking to me. But other people noticed the conversation and got involved too, and now it’s turning into something new. Great product. Can’t say enough good things about the NotePin. If you get it and feel like you have nothing to talk about, look up writing prompts and talk it out. Just let yourself speak without judgment and see where it goes. “What would I be if I stopped defending the version of me that got here.” Great entry point for my fellow masters of sarcasm.
An amazing tool

I saw this on a TikTok commercial and was buying it before the commercial ended. This is an amazing tool for anyone with ADHD (like me), who has trouble remembering specifics from meetings (like me) whose notes aren't complete or they just never go back to reviews their notes (like me), or someone who just prefers to listen in a meeting and not be bogged down by taking notes (like me). I've been using it my staff meetings and the summary function is so great for tracking the next steps, meaning I don't have to remember what task I assigned, it will all be neatly included in the next steps section. I always email the summary and transcript to myself, which Plaud titles for you based on the meeting content and now it's so much easier to find my notes than looking through random pages in my notebook. The battery life is amazing. It's also so small and indiscreet (make sure you check your state's recording consent laws), not to hide the recording, but it makes it easy to carry in my pocket if I don't have a bag or folio, I don't need to have my phone out in the meeting to use as a recorder, and it doesn't feel like I'm recording an interrogation with a tape recorder. Plus it gives you the notes from the meeting, unlike your phone or a tape recorder!The only thing I would like to see is the ability to integrate it seamlessly with my Remarkable, so I can send straight from Plaud to Remarkable rather than the extra steps of emailing/saving/uploading. Though that might be on Remarkable.
