Keeps crashing…and a cash grab because it is niche

For the amount they charge per month (and I have has a subscription in past), It shouldn’t crash every time I use the app. I go through a few and then it crashes and repeats alot of my previously swiped people. It would be nice if it wasn’t such a blatant cash grab, at least show who you may be matched with. Hinge is way better but they’ve cornered the market on the brown ppl matching so that’s what the big draw is. My recommendation make the people that use it actually think that you care about them finding a match all of those cliché things that are written when the app loads up mean very little and it’s kind of artificial given how much care is given to the actual app. Every business tries to make money, but there is a balancing point, and I feel you have overreached on one side of the scale at the expense of the people that use it and want to get something out of it, a relationship of some sort. It’s ironic that Indian people are known for their technological know-how and your app is one of the buggiest things that is on the App store. It used to be more stable, but now I swipe a few times, and force quits that is just ridiculous. Fix some things and you get stars back.Update Oct 2023-Not much has changed except there is a community chat feature. It still crashes constantly, still a cash grab for a monthly subscription. I was permanently banned on the community chat for ‘inappropriate behavior’ for calling someone out for being rude. There is little oversight and if you are reading this review, please save yourself some time and stay away from this app. It is filled with toxicity and behavior that does disservice to the people looking for a real genuine connection.

I found the love of my life and my wife to be on Dil Mil. I come from a very traditional Indian family so it was important for me to find a girl that not only I would like, but so would my family. I didn’t want to settle for the whole arranged marriage thing and try to get to know someone that way. I feel like it adds so much pressure to the situation. So reluctantly I signed up for Dil Mil. I had heard about it from a couple of friends who told me they like it but that it’s more of a hook up app and may not be worth it if you’re looking for something serious. To my surprise, the girls I matched with were smart, down to earth and seemed to be looking for the same thing I was.What I wasn’t expecting was to find my soulmate on Dil Mil. I matched with my now fiancé (getting married in July) about a year and half ago. It’s been an incredible experience ever since. We both have no doubt that we are made for one another. My family also loves her as much as I do. And we would not be together if it wasn’t for this app. Dil Mil provides a great platform for Desis...whether you’re looking for something serious and just casually date. It’s particularly great for someone like me who is born in India but grew up in the US and always struggling with traditional Indian and modern American culture. It’s a great way to meet people with a similar mindset.I will also say that Dil Mil has amazing customer service. Every time I’ve contacted them, they have been incredibly helpful. Even to the point of helping me and my fiancé find wedding vendors. I could not recommend the app more.

pros: they are adding more features. I really like that they added users astrology signs. The other day the asked for my license to verify my identity. I’m hoping they do that with others too. It would crack down on fake profiles and people lying about their age etc. because there are a lot of male profiles that state one age, but in the description they write 38 not 32. So I would just advise girls to be careful. Seems like since Dil Mil is for a younger group, older men are lying about their age to match with you ( something is kinda messed up with that, but just wanted to get that out there to help people in their early 20s, so that they don’t get exploited). I know it happens in all appsCons: it costs 35/month to be a member. Which is kinda better bc it gives more options and allows you to pick through people. But it’s very expensive compared to other apps like coffee meets bagel ( try that one and filter to south Asian ☺️ to meet more ppl in your area ) and it does not allow a radius selection. The smallest radius you can put is 500 miles. That makes me think that the creators are more about caste than about safety. It’s unrealistic to apply caste system in the west because someone raised on the west coast will be very different that someone from east coast of the US. So it’s more important to be closer and get to know someone than it is to pick someone who is your exact same background after meeting only a few times due to long distance.

I am in LOVE with this app. Ive never tried a dating app before but this one has just changed my perspective on them. I lived in Texas for most of my life and have had traditional parents who have always wanted me to marry someone who had similar cultural backgrounds. The pressure of finding someone with specific needs in mind is incredibly difficult and I think a lot of brown people could agree with that. But this app literally helps you do exactly that. The filters on the app allow you to be upfront about what you are looking for and I think that is important with finding looking for a significant other. So being someone who has lived in an area with a small population of brown people this app was a gold mine for me. I noticed that some people are kind of far away which bothered me at first until I actually matched with someone who I decided to meet up in person with. After talking back and forth her for 2 months we decided to meet up and when we did it felt like we knew each other our whole lives. That person is now my fiancé and we are going to be getting married next year.I can’t stress enough how much this app changed my life. This app is a brilliant idea and salute to who ever thought of making it.
