App interface needs to be updated & more disney content needed

One of the things that make it hard to navigate the app is the lack of categories or tags, as well as related content if it’s not available. For example if I want to watch a horror movie and it’s not on the app, it suggests content that isn’t relevant to my search, unlike on Netflix where they will suggest similar content. Also I’ve had to remember where I left off for a show, because sometimes D+ won’t remember where I stopped. It’s a mild inconvenience but when competing with other platforms that give its users a better experience, this is worth mentioning. It would also be nice to implement a feature that tells the users what’s coming soon, and what may be leaving. Finally, I just wish that Disney Channel shows would be added. I know there may be geographical legal issues but those shows are part of the Disney+ experience, and to not be able to watch them slightly degrades the experience. However, the rest of the content, especially the Star catalogue, is great!Overall, not a perfect service, but I get that Disney MENA is still new, and there is a lot of potential for growth.

We have released a few App version updates since the launch of Disney+, which should have addressed most issues related to the Continue Watching functionality. We are also continuously working on releasing new Movies and Shows, including from the Disney Channel catalogue. Please stay tuned for more App updates that aim to improve the user experience, including the launching of the Coming Soon functionality and the launch of brand new trays and categories !

Fixes that are easy to do

I don't know how to properly explain it so bear with me. But I am a person who rewatches a lot of shows or it can happen I fall asleep with the TV on so episodes keep playing now my issue is that when I want to rewatch a show I click on an episode and it starts playing at the end of the episode and its like that for everything that was already watched. What I like with the European Disney and Netflix is that when you start an episode that was already watched it starts from the beginning but here I'm usually stuck like an idiot having to go through 6 episodes in a row rewinding the episode so that I can watch peacefully. It's very annoying in general but especially at night when I'm tired I've basically resorted to using the European one with a vpn but I'd prefer just being able to use the one here since it's two separate subscriptions. I feel like this is an easy fix as all streaming platforms do this. I hope I explained it to where it makes sense andi hope this can get fixed.

Not real Disney Plus experience

Ok, as the biggest Disney fan in the world I’ll try to write honest review ;) First of all, it’s lovely to have Disney Plus in Middle East. The problem is this is not full D+ experience. It’s heavily cut (lots of missing content) and it won’t work outside MENA region. In fact this app is different than normal, full Disney Plus. Even the login method is different (phone, instead of email). I understand that some cuts in MENA region have to be made, but Netflix shows they don’t have to be significant. Also app should work worldwide. Now I have to pay for D+ two times - one for MENA version and another time for real (European / American) version, when I travel. This is not how it should work. As much as I’m happy to have Disney+ in Middle East, please combine those experiences so we can use one single app worldwide. Thanks! UPDATE: I’m changing my review to 1 star after Baymax! was removed. The level of censorship here is insane. That was such a good show. If Lightyear won’t release on Disney Plus MENA I will definitely cancel my subscription next month.
