Whenever I feel like heading up to the Finger Lakes to check out the many wineries, The Gould in Seneca Falls is at the top of my list of possible places to stay. I have stayed there the last 4.5 times, 3 times in 2020 (July, September, and December), and I can’t wait to return in 2021. The Finger Lakes region is a fascinating place to visit if you’re a wine enthusiast like myself. Not only that, this amazing area has its fair share of historical sites, shopping, outdoor recreation, and dining. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and centrally-located place to stay in the Finger Lakes Region, look no further than The Gould in Seneca Falls. Everyone - from the front desk to the cleaning staff - is so hospitable. I’ve always stayed in the King Suite which is huge and elegantly furnished. The Gould provides quick access to the wineries on Cayuga and Seneca Lakes. Venture out to Geneva in under 20 minutes for more restaurant and bar options, or stay home in the quaint little town for fewer, but still very great options. It’s also close to Waterloo Premium Outlets if shopping is the plan. Since the epidemic, the management has done a tremendous job to keep their staff and guests safe. Ample social distancing, hand sanitizers, plexiglass at the front desk - you name it, they’re doing it. I just can’t say enough about The Gould. In addition, this beautiful hotel offers very competitive rates which is very alluring to get away from home and relieve some of the pandemic stress.

My wife and I have travelled to many countries and stayed in many different hotels in our life, and would have to say this hotel is better than some 5 star hotels we have have stayed in regarding customer service and dining and cleanliness. We are here for only one night to catch our flight to Moscow heading to London, Amsterdam, Munich Germany, Rome, Venice Italy, Bern Switzerland, Lauterbrunnen Switzerland then Paris France for our one month Europe adventure. Now we have booked 11 hotels for our journey ahead of us, if this hotel being our first on our adventure with a great starting experience, then we have a lot of good things to look forward to. This hotels has the nicest, kindest, professional caring management and staff. We ordered dinner last night and to be honest I was not expecting much being a Russian hotel, Sorry but not had great experience with Russian hotels in the past. Well this place surprised me. I ordered the grilled pork with rice and Greek salad and my wife ordered pasta, and when it came to our room the plate was large size and the portions as well, which I did not expect. Russian portions are usually small. To top it off the food presentation was good and looked Appetizing and it tasted delicious! Well done. Almost for got to mention how accommodating the manager was, she asked us what time our flight was and because it’s at 3:25pm she was so kind to give us a late check out which was so kind because she said we have a baby and there’s no need to be at the airport waiting many hours with a baby. Now that’s what I call superb kindness and great customer service. DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THIS HOTEL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The lady at the front desk was very nice! I had my 21 yr old daughter, 19 & 12 yr old sons with me. They are used to Airbnb’s, but this was last minute. I was not there to stay in the room anyway. I planned on being at the beach. We stayed in the room right next to the reception desk so I got to park right at my door. I did not have to move my car for the 5 days we were there. (We extended our stay for an extra day). Because of the Covid19 we were given a basket to put our towels in and exchange for clean ones. Which is understandable. We had no problem with that. The next day there was a gentleman at the front and he was just as nice and helpful. Another day there was a young lady and she was also really nice. I felt comfortable enough that if we needed anything we could ask and they would help. Since the beaches had just opened up the younger kids started coming in. The only problem with being on the 1st floor was you could hear the ones upstairs walking loud and playing drinking games. I didn’t have a problem going up there at 4:30 am and letting them know it was time for them to go to bed. Lol they said “yes mam” and 10 mins later I didn’t hear them anymore. I was nice to them. We were right across the street from the Arby’s and the convenience store . All the shopping and restaurants were the street over. The beach was about a 4-6 min walk (if that). I would suggest taking socks to wear in the room . They are tile floors and sand is everywhere. Overall it was a nice last min bday/Mother’s Day 5 day4 night getaway for less than $600.

If I could give - stars, I would. Very irresponsible team of people who do not answer emails or pick up calls. I booked a flight 3 months ago and it was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. I have been emailing and every email is copy paste and says “we have started the refund process…”, I called and asked for a representative name they hung up, I called again and in a 30 minute call, they were refusing to transfer me to a supervisor. They said you will receive a call in one hour I offered to wait and they hung up saying they have other customers. 12 minutes later he calls and tells me that he listened to the 30 minute call. All they say does not add up and they just find different ways to lie to you. Back to the refund, I asked for an average refund time and they failed to give it to me. They said the airline didn’t refund it but when I spoke to the airline they said they did. Therefore, I told them call the airline while I'm on the phone and if they tell you you did not receive my refund, I will wait. He then said “I am not saying that the airline did not refund us but the current global situation there have been so many cancellations and our refund team has been working hard”. I just ended the call with telling them that the current global situation is not my problem because you charged me for a service I did not use and are not giving me concrete information on my refund. This is personal to me not the whole world. What you are facing with the world is your concern.
