Create, update, edit, plan, track, analyze – all in the palm of your hand with the Jira mobile app by Atlassian. It’s the accelerated collaboration tool for teams, including software teams, service delivery teams, ITSM teams, and DevOps.

Powerful and palm-sized, Jira Cloud for iOS lets you move work forward from anywhere. Create, update, plan, track, and analyze on-the-go. Collaboration and project management is faster and easier than ever with the Jira mobile app.

Create a project and select scrum or kanban agile methodologies, or manage your tasks with simplified task-tracking boards.

Stay updated with real-time push notifications; respond to work on-the-fly; collaborate faster; sync with teammates anywhere. Choose which events to get notified about: issues you’re assigned, issues you’re watching, status changes, and more.

Create, update, transition, and comment on issues. View development details within issues, including git branches, commits, and pull requests.

Rank issues according to priority; create and edit sprints; quickly collapse sprints and backlog issues to streamline your view and maximize your productivity. Grooming your to-do list is easier than ever with Jira.

Create new columns; rename column titles; set column limits; view multiple statuses mapped to a single column in team-managed projects.

Find issues faster using filters on the board and backlog. Filter by reporter, assignee, epic, label, status, type.

Editing a long-term project’s roadmap in the palm of your hand is a powerful feeling. Try it. Create epics; choose to plan in weeks, months, or quarters; view the roadmap as a list or chart. Roadmaps are similar to Gantt charts — perfect for large-scale project planning.

Dashboards help you stay on top of multiple moving parts. They can display progress and updates of your most important pieces of work, giving you an overview at a glance.

Approve or decline service requests; edit request participants; stay on top of service desk and help desk requests on-the-go.

Create and edit versions with ease.

Track and analyze your team’s workflow with velocity charts, burndown charts, and cumulative flow diagrams.

Night owl? We’ve got you covered. Enable Dark Mode via your account settings in the app, and embrace your productivity once the sun goes down.

Download the app and create an account for free, or login using your existing details.

The Jira app is awesome compared to the desktop site

I wish the desktop website was half as good as the mobile app. For my office we are moving away from Jira as the web site has issues that we are not able to tolerate any longer. When I open My Open Issues, it presents the list of items in a column on the left l, but always brings up a random closed item on the right. Also, many times when I scroll down on the peg the top panel vanishes and the only way to see it again is to refresh the entire page. I have been using the mobile app instead as it’s so superior to the large landscape web site. Great job on the app. I really like its auto refresh features!

Can’t save an epic on current version of app on iPhone or iPad

If I select or update an epic on a task, then leave the screen, it does not retain the value and reverts back to whatever it was before. It works fine on desktop but has never worked on my phone in the 6 months I’ve been using it. I have an old iPad mini 2 and it works fine there but the device is so old that it won’t let me update to the current version of Jira. I just upgraded to an iPad Pro with the latest version and it has the same problem my iPhone 11 does. Please fix this!!! It’s a huge problem for me that I can only update epics from desktop because I need to make updates from wherever I am. I am a Business Analyst III, so testing software is a huge part of my job and I’ve tried different things to get it to work but can’t find a workaround except to use a PC to make the change. I’m fairly certain this is a bug and I’m really surprised it’s gone unnoticed for this long. Please fix this!!!

Developer Response ,

Hi, sorry to hear about this persisting bug. We can't seem to reproduce this on our side, but would like to investigate it further. Can you please send us an email to jira-cloud-native@atlassian.com with more details on the issue? Perhaps a video showing the bug. And if you can reproduce this bug on your other Jira projects as well. Thank you!

Terrible offline data handling and crash recovery

I’m become accustomed to how Jira by Atlassian—despite Atlassian being a multi-billion dollar (and technical) company—can have such terrible UX and stability at launch, but I’m honestly frustrated by the lack of BASIC mobile app features:

- NO AUTO-SAVE: Comments and any text fields (like Descriptions, etc) should AUTO-SAVE in case your device goes offline or in case Jira crashes in the middle of drafting for no apparent reason while online with great Internet and an iPhone 13 Pro. Why doesn’t Jira auto-save and recover the text input like most apps do these days?

- BASIC FORMATTING LIKE BULLETS DOES NOT WORK RELIABLY ON MOBILE: Try adding a bullet. Great! Now, hit “Return” to create a new bullet below and keep the list going. Bad! The text you type appears indented but there’s no bullet in the UI. Hopefully, it’s just a mobile UI error and the bullet is properly formatted on the web and doesn’t create confusion with teammates, right? Wrong. OK — maybe it was a fluke and I’ll redo this a few times and try typing after I add a bullet? Lol, sometimes Jira’s cursor just navigates to the next line for no apparent reason. Want to delete a bullet and resume typing in a previous bullet? Good luck.

It’s almost 2022. How is Jira so inferior to other text edit, let alone collaboration, tools?

Once Linear integrates QA Test Suites, it’s game over for Jira.
