The AsteraApp™ offers intuitive and fast control of complex lighting setups with fully customizable programs and effects. The App is also used to prepare Astera lights for wireless DMX by sending addresses and profilesto them. In addition, lamps can be diagnosed, updated or reset from the AsteraApp™. Here are some of the features: Talkback+ Detect all available lights, set them up, check their status, configure DMX addresses and DMX profiles. Seamless Runtime Set the length of your production and be sure that your lights won`t run out while still getting the maximum brightness. Effects Quickly build programs out of colors and effects, trigger them or make them match a beat. Targets Quickly create groups of lights, assign positions and select which lights should receive commands. Scheduled StandBy Switch lights into power-saving standby and schedule them to wake up when the production starts. Dynamic PowerBoost This exclusive feature makes the light able to display the maximum brightness at all time and intensify non-white colors. Green/Magenta Correction Adjust green/magenta during content creation to reduce postproduction work. Emergency Lights Switches to white light when AC power is cut to keep your event save DJ Feature Auto BPM analyzes the beat and matches programs to it, flash buttons can trigger special effects while being held down. Other Features The AsteraApp™ is packed with many additional items and new features are frequently added via software update.

Terribly Designed App

Given the cost of Astera lights, it’s astounding how terribly designed this app is. Not intuitive at all, and requires all kinds of wacky workarounds to achieve simple tasks like removing the amount of lights in a group. Really baffling how terrible this app is after spending several thousands of dollars on their lights.

This app is horrendous. I’m currently sitting on the concrete on the ground floor of a parking garage on a holiday weekend trying to update all of these Titan tubes and the app just won’t cooperate. I’ve been in the lighting world for 20 years and I’ve never met a more frustrating system. I have 72 titans running. 48 were running fine all day then all of a sudden the Art7 transmitter decided to update in the middle of the day. After the update, 43 of my tubes are not showing up in the app now. They are rigged in housings that are mounting the concrete ceiling. They can only be reached with a lift. All of the other technicians have gone home and here I am dealing with this garbage software. Fix what is broken before you add more junk. You’re wasting my weekend. Thanks for nothing.

Takes a little time and practice to understand how everything works. Once you have some experience under your belt the possibilities are endless. The app is definitely easier than controlling them over dmx. It gets better and better with every update!

This app is actually almost unusable and often literally unusable due to the app crashing on multiple different devices. App uses an INSANE amount of battery life when doing nothing phone or tablet quickly heat up literally more than any app I have. There are also bugs where connection drops out when very near or info displayed for fixture status is inaccurate or won’t update.
