Welcome to Beatly Pro 2.0—the biggest update in the app’s history. This is much more than a fresh coat of paint: the way Beatly creates, edits, mixes, and presents music has been improved throughout. MORE MUSICAL RESULTS Generation now has a stronger sense of musical direction. New style-specific phrase libraries bring more variety and character, while improved chord voicing, phrase-ending cadences, and recurring melodic themes help tracks feel more connected from bar to bar. Bass patterns have also been refined to leave more room for the rest of the arrangement. NEW WAYS TO SHAPE YOUR SOUND Reverb, delay, and compression are now available on every mixer channel alongside the existing filter, resonance, and decimation controls. The redesigned mixer gives each instrument clearer controls, responsive level feedback, and a more focused workflow. A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED WORKSPACE The new dashboard reacts to your music with real-time audio visuals and clearer playback progress. The mixer, piano roll, track settings, chord progression builder, sample recorder and editor, pattern library, MIDI importer, MIDI exporter, and audio renderer have all been redesigned to feel consistent and easier to navigate. FASTER, SAFER EDITING The piano roll has been rebuilt for more precise note editing, clearer timing, and more reliable undo. Continuous edits now stay focused on the bar you are working on, so you can hear changes in context without losing your place. Pattern editing and MIDI import are also clearer and more direct. BETTER ON IPAD AND WITH VOICEOVER Layouts have been improved across iPhone and iPad, including landscape use on iPad. Contextual help now explains controls where you need it, and VoiceOver support has been expanded throughout the mixer, piano roll, settings, import, and export workflows. Beatly Pro was updated for the newest iOS version. The source code was polished and fine tuned. AI background image generator was removed as it didn't work anymore anyway :) Have fun!

This update fixes the issue of not being able to render or record audio at all on devices with iOS 16.

Undo is now available in the piano roll.

Now you can lock the scale/key of each beat within the bar. No more missed notes! Find it in the piano roll, under the three dots menu. Piano roll keyboard now remembers your preferred width scale. Tutorial has been renamed to User manual and its sections are now accessible directly from the respective screens, so you can display it anytime you need help. Various UI improvements and fixes. Now you can configure channels and notes for MIDI OUT. Also when exporting a MIDI file, now it is possible to export individual stems. Generator algorithm and patterns has been improved to provide more melodic output. The keys in piano roll will no longer expand automatically on touch - use the button in the header to toggle its width. Thank you for your support.

Now you can assign SF2 SoundFont sound bank to each instrument (currently except drums). Drums and orchestra stems can now be rendered separately. Audio and MIDI renderers UI bugfix and improvements. Piano roll - drums UI/UX bugfix.

Now you can change the key/base chord of each generated track right from the piano roll! Just tap the chord name at the bottom of a beat and pick any chord you want the notes to transpose to! Minor piano roll improvements and bugfix. Thank you all for your constant support!

This update brings a fix of the bug in the mixer which has been causing a crash of the app. Enjoy!

Now you can change any note's velocity directly in the piano roll. Simply just long press the note or selection of notes and adjust the value using fader. You can now also copy, cut and paste notes within the bar or from one bar to another. Entire piano roll has been improved and it's now better responsive and precise even on smaller displays. Few bugs and rare crashes has been fixed. If you encounter any odd behaviour or app crash, please let me know so I can take care of it! Thank you!

Now you can drag and drop your custom samples right onto the mixer tracks. You can also drag and drop MIDI file in the piano roll and import your favorite sequence, which will adapt to your bar's chord progression. Chord names has been added to each beat directly in the piano roll so you can keep the track of the progression easily. You can now delete all notes in the piano roll selected with the Selection tool with a simple tap. Lots of improvements and fixes. Have fun!

Introducing brand new lo-fi style! Effects and filters in the mixer for each channel (cutoff, resonance, decimation). Added seventh and ninth chords to the chord progression builder. Mixer setup lock moved from settings directly to the mixer, so it's easily accessible now. Few UI improvements and tweaks, bugfix. Now you can create your custom template patterns which will adapt to any chord progression of your song! Simply tap the plus button in the template picker and draw your own pattern for each beat! Have fun!

New version of Beatly Pro brings you template patterns in the piano roll which you can use to spice up the generated beats. Now you can also create an empty project to start with. Template patterns are the perfect way how to initiate your creative process! Additionally, the pull to reload functionality of the piano roll is now applied only on the currently active sub-instrument (drums and orchestra). Last but not least, the generator algorithm has been improved as well as a few annoying bugs has been fixed and stability strengthened. Sample recorder and editor is here! Now you can record any sound with your mic and attach it to any instrument! Also it's possible now to attach/record custom samples for drums and orchestra instruments! Additionally a rare iPad crash has been fixed. Hopefully. Have fun!

Introducing chord progression builder! Now you can tell Beatly exactly what chords you want it to use in your generated bars.  If you are a musician and need an accompaniment for your practicing, this feature is for you. Also locked BPM will now be remembered even after app restart. Additionally performance has been improved and UI tweaked in some places. Thank you all for being with me on the journey with Beatly. This version brings huge improvements in bar controls. Now you can copy bars - with all instruments (in mixer) or single instrument (in piano roll). You can also control the playback position by tapping respective bar. The transition will be synced to the next beat creating attractive chopped-like effects. Some UI improvements and tweaks have been made. Hi-hat patterns have been extended. New version notification and app review request have been removed. You asked for it, here it is:  MIDI output! All Beatly output channel ports are now available within the MIDI sources of your favorite mixer! Works great with AUM or Audiobus! Have a good one!

Piano roll improvements! Now you can regenerate any currently visible bar of any instrument by swiping down in the piano roll. Keyboard on the left side is now fully playable (solo notes) and generates visual feedback for you to locate the note easier. You will also hear the sample on inserting or dragging the note. Additionally a few bugs has been fixed, e.g. the generator completely ignoring open hihats and overly using one specific annoying clap pattern :) And finally - generator patterns has been again slightly refined! Have fun!

Brand new chiptune style is waiting for you! This style can be enabled in the new track settings available from the main screen. Complete revamp of the generator algorithm - now the output is harmoniously richer and much more diverse. Thanks to that you can now see the key right on the main screen. Exported/rendered wav and midi filenames conventions have been revisited, fixed and enriched with tempo and key information. Minor UI improvements and logic fixes.
