Record your travels, share with friends, and find your way back to places you've been—all while building a travel history. With Geospike you can instantly record where you are, attaching photos and notes to your location, creating what we call a 'spike'. Geospike is a great way to capture and share moments on-the-go, from visiting landmarks to having coffee with your friends. There is no "checking-in" to predefined places and you can log a spike without an internet connection, making it especially great for places off the beaten path. Start a trip, and and the places you log will be grouped together on a trip map. Nice idea, poor execution

Doesn't work. Just tested it from Los Angeles to Naples Italy, with spikes in the Azores as well and along the east US. The trip function did not "connect the dots" of my spikes and the total trip was 1 mile long with no other stats loading or adding up. Some places recorded no position despite the statement that is works "without data" (did occasionally).Some other functionality issues. Nice idea if it can be done right. Thanks for trying.

This app is the perfect combination of Glympse and Instagram. It would be nice if you could drag the location to an exact spot on a map. Sometimes the GPS is off a bit and you wish to share your exact spot, like a specific parking spot or place to meet on a large crowd. Right now it appears that the sample map is an address location on a street, but if you click on the map it opens google maps and the pin is at a specific lat-long spot. Nice job.

I've used Geospike every day during my second trip to Japan, and I have to say it's fantastic. I love that I can create spikes without internet access, since I don't have access on my phone while traveling. This app makes it easy to mark places I've been so I can find them again (and share on Facebook!). I highly recommend it!
