Omg so awesome
This app is amazing! The tooth brushes that Phillips Sonicare for kids makes are so affective!!! I used to hate brushing my teeth so much. But now, brushing my teeth is like playing as many video games as you want! I brush three times a day, and I used to brush about twice a week! My teeth were descusting. But now, they are as white as snow! The sparklys ( an adorable character you help hatch it out of its egg) are so creative and cute! I love feeding and brushing my sparkly so much. But, I have a problem. So this goes to a whole different story, and it’s long, but hang in there.
So I got a Phillips sonicare kids toothbrush one night. My brother did too. We got the app, and brushed right away. We loved it, and my brother got clothes and dens the next day. I was so jelly, because I apparently hadn’t unlocked all that yet. I told my mom, and she told me she would call them, so she did. Then the next day I saw my brother go to his achievements and he had achievements, which I hadn’t unlocked either. I was like, how did you- WHAT?!?
And he has his sparkly achievements too! I really want this stuff. My mom told me I’ll probably end up with a new toothbrush, which is fine with me, cause I don’t think my toothbrush is all too happy about the first time I used it and how dirty my teeth were lol.
Anyway, please fix this problem! Thank you!
Good in theory
If this app worked, it would be great. My 4yo daughter loves it but is disappointed on a regular basis bc the only prizes she gets is food. She rarely ever gets the spray paint, which like another reviewer said, is the most valuable prize. Also like the other reviewer said, the parenting dashboard does not allow the parents to give credit for kids brushing without using the app. My daughter is gone every other weekend, and I know she is brushing her teeth, but I cannot give her credit where credit is due. Also she doesn’t always want to use the app because the prices are boring so she brushes her teeth without using the app, and I still can’t give her credit. This app seriously needs fixing. It would be great in theory if it actually worked. I can also see that reviewer‘s have been complaining about the same thing for a long time now, and nothing has been fixed. So it doesn’t seem to me like the company cares much about the reviewer‘s comments.
This app has really helped motivate my now 5 year old to brush. I love the digital incentives each time she brushes successfully. It’s always a fun surprise to see what she gets for Sparkly. For parents concerned about screen time, I don’t have any trouble getting my phone back from her when she’s done. She will play for a minute or two as that’s it. There’s only so many things you can do with Sparkly.
My critique of the app is that I can’t find any instructions on how to play with Sparkly. There are different screen interactions that get it to do certain things. We have discovered most by trial and error, but it doesn’t seem consistent. When a kid unlocks a new feature, could it there be a screen tip to tell you how to do the flip, for instance?
Also I have not been able to give credit for brushing. At first I didn’t have a Phillips account, so I set that up. Now I have one but the “ask for credit” buttons are grayed out on my daughter’s calendar view. Yesterday she brushed at 12:05 pm and I can’t give her credit for the AM brush. Today, the “ask for credit” buttons seem active for today only. From the FAQs, it seems like you should be able to go back at least a day.
