A few suggestions. It would be nice if you could set the amount of time it waits before typing the word. The suggestions have been right on the first try every time for me so I don’t see any need for extra time after every word I write. Secondly it would be nice if the interface looked better. Perhaps look at the Apple keyboard and have it match the button style. Lastly, everything is a bit small. The writing space could be taller and all the buttons need to be a lot bigger. Maybe it just needs to support the new iPad pros? In the same vein, it needs to support the new one hand keyboard that iPads on the newest iPad os have. I don’t expect to actually use the keyboard in that mini form, but it should at least have the globe button visible just in case someone switches to it while the keyboard is in mini mode.

So, ll be writing this review using the Slay Penseript keyboard with an Apple Pencil on an iPad to give a better view of what you get out of the box with this app. My cursive is not great, and honestly lin amazed with what theyve been able to acheive here. However this is one of those times when until something is perfect, it can be highly fustian. when writing individual words and the app interprets it incorrectly, you can easily select the comet translation from a range of boxes above the writing space. However, when writing naturally in starences, these boxes arent useful as the display the alternative interpretations of the entire stance and not an a word-by-word basis. However, when I use this app I spend most of my writing tie trying to get it to recognize the first contraction I try to use. In this case , it generally does ot even for the option of the contacts in the boxes above. So, "I am" becomes lin, "I will" becomes till, "does not" becomes doesnt, and similarly cant wont dont, etc dont carry apostrophes and its basically not possible to insert then. Numbers and characters such as back stashes, percent sighs, hyphens, te also are rather hand if not impossible for the app to recognize. Again, in extremely impressed with the technology overall and hit its fantastic that this app is free, however my honest opinion is that I wont end up using the keyboard and will steal stick with a gesture - swipe style method until the technology has advanced a bit more.

I found this application because I was looking in the app store in an attempt to find a way to speed the recognition time of the handwriting app I was using. I very pleased to find an app that recognized my handwritng very well but also gave me the option of changing the speed of my recognition. Now I can write rapidly with excellent recognition. Yes, I can make mistakes but they are so easily & quickly corrected that it is hardly worth mentioning. Now I can concentrate on my writing rather than fumbling with keyboards where my fmgers often hit the wrong keys. Wonderful app. So glad my other app failed to measure up.I am updating this review. I have been using SelvyPen for more than two years. I have stopping using all others. Even though I try other keyboards to see if they equal SelvyPen, none ever come close to its speed and familiarity. In addition, I’m always confident that what I write is what will appear in my emails and messages. It is simply the best.

I've been searching for a handwriting keyboard that I can use on any word processing app or text imput. This is the only app that I've found that has fit my needs. I'm writing in fairly sloppy cursive with the occasional print added in, using an Apple Pen. I am occasionally using suggested words/ corrections , but otherwise I am letting all mistakes go uncorrected. My biggest complaint is a lack of documentation to tell me what I can do! For example I didn't think I could write " & " until I accidentally did it because the input is different than What I normally do.I wish it had a dedicated punctuation button and I wish it would let me cross out words while writing instead of using the backspace button. Those are minor inconveniences though.
