The easiest way to get the most performance out of your Modena KZ kart engine. Plus a logbook that keeps a note of what worked.
Works out the jetting for Modena kart engines with the DellOrto VHSH 30 carburettor, from real temperature, humidity, air pressure and altitude.
ENGINES
KK1, KK1R, MKZ, KK2 and KK3 (2023-2025 homologation), both stock and tuned. For KZ1, KZ2 and ICC karts.
The KK3 is Modena's current flagship in KZ: it shares neither top end nor crankcase with the KK2, so it has its own jetting.
RESULTS
Four recommended setups for the conditions and engine you have set. Each one gives the main jet, the emulsion tube, the needle and clip position, the idle diffuser and the idle jet, plus air density, density altitude and relative horsepower. Two ±10 % fine-tuning sliders, high and mid, to suit your engine and how it is built.
CONDITIONS
Weather data from two places: the nearest public station, with its distance and how long ago the reading was taken, or typed in. It works the same with no coverage.
ENGINE
Engine type, floats and their height, oil ratio and track type. Pick the track from the list and the type is derived from the track length, with the altitude filled in for you.
LOGBOOK
Save every run with its conditions and jetting, then note what you actually fitted and how it went: lean, good or rich, separately for low, mid and high. Laps, best lap and maximum RPM too.
Everything stays on your device. The logbook exports to CSV with the difference between what you fitted and what was recommended, run by run.
TRACKS
112 tracks with their altitude, taken from the track itself rather than the town, which are usually different. Search by the track name or by the town.
SHARING
Jetting can be shared as an image card, with the track and the date. The logbook exports to CSV, saves as a backup, and can be imported from another phone.
UNITS
°C and °F, metres and feet, and mb, hPa, mmHg and inHg.

NEW ENGINE

• New tab. Save every run with its conditions and the recommended jetting, then note what you actually fitted.
• Rating is separate for low, mid and high: jetting can be lean at the top and rich at the bottom at the same time, and each is corrected with a different part.
• Laps, best lap and maximum RPM too, to compare two runs.
• CSV export, backup and import from another phone.
CONDITIONS
• GPS is no longer a separate tab: querying the weather station is now at the top of Conditions, next to the values you type in. They were two screens for one job.
• The altitude is always stated, including when it could not be obtained.
TRACKS
• 112 tracks with their altitude, taken from the track itself and not from the town. Picking one fills in the altitude and the track type.
SHARING
• Jetting and each run can be shared as an image card.
FIXES
• 0 degrees was calculated as 25, and 0 % humidity as 50.
• The location screen never worked: the system had stopped reporting the position years ago.
• Fine tuning on one setup leaked into the other three.
• Rating the app took you to another app's page.
• The app was drawn scaled up from a smaller canvas instead of at the phone's real resolution.
• Temperature, pressure and humidity were clipped against the edge of the screen.
• GPS altitude was discarded at sea-level tracks, and silently lost when applying the station data.
• Long station names arrived truncated.
