I made a purchase over the weekend when the app froze while purchasing. I never received a confirmation email and the app AND website both showed I had not made any orders. So I reordered. It turns out that the first order had went through and now I had over $120 worth of double products that I did not need. The call center was closed since it was a Saturday so I opted to send an email, knowing I wouldn’t be able to get in touch with anyone until Monday (today), which was fine. I received an email this morning saying the order had been cancelled and I should be expecting a refund for the second order. Then an hour later received another email basically saying “oops it’s already processed and you’ll get a credit towards your account, call customer service for more info.” Customer service is beyond backed up due to COVID-19 and have been on hold for 30 minutes. I’m upset that the app is so glitchy that it caused me to double purchase something that I won’t be getting my money back for. I don’t need a credit in my account, I need my physical money back.

I’m a salon owner so I am a frequent purchaser from pro supply stores. Not only is this app constantly logging me out and asking me to re-log back in for no reason, you can’t actually check your order out through the app. Once you’re ready to check out it sends you to the external website to check out through, which will sometimes require you to resign in AGAIN. Also, the app is not up-to-date for what they have in stock, sometimes you will be ready to order and then when they redirect you to the website, the website will let you know that half of your car actually wasn’t even in stock available to purchase.. They use a third-party system for purchasing so if you have a card that has high security measures on it, like the one my bank requires me to use, your card will get denied because it doesn’t like whatever shady purchasing platform they use. However, if you try to get around this by checking out via PayPal, SalonCentric will add a $4 surcharge to account for “extra taxes” for using PayPal. I’m not quite understanding why I had extra taxes when I check out with PayPal when that literally doesn’t happen on any other website I use PayPal on. Regardless, the app is never updated, you can’t actually check out through the app, and there’s lots of other false advertising on the site. I wish I could purchase pulp riot literally anywhere else but from this company.

I have never written a review for an app before but the salon centric app is so bad- I’m seriously going to go and give my business elsewhere. I don’t know what is going on with the app or the website but for well over a year now, anytime I try to go to “my cart” it takes over 2 minutes to load. So every single time I add something to my cart, it just stalls and stalls. Just to order under 10 products can take me an hour with the loading time- I’m not kidding. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Half the time I’m having to exit out of the app or close the webpage over and over again. It’s beyond annoying and frankly way too time consuming. Also, please make a feature that if an item is out of stock, don’t let it be available to add to the cart. Half the time I add all of these items and then go to checkout (after my hour long endeavor of loading of course) just to be told on the final page that none of the items are in stock. Complete waste of time. Please fix this- because honestly, I’m taking my business elsewhere otherwise. I could understand if this was a recent issue and it was in the process of being fixed, but these issues have been going on for well over a year. Also, you can’t even submit a customer service ticket- that feature doesn’t work either.

I’ve spent days trying to get this app to work in my favor. This is like Fort Knox trying to get your information updated and then for the app to work with your updated information. Apparently I had an original account back 10 years ago before I had the app and that’s what started the whole bottle of wax. I tried to create a new account, but of course they said I had an account which I did not remember. The in-store clerks can’t help you must call customer service. So I wait for the phone to get answered eight minutes and five seconds. Spoke to a lovely lady. She took my new information down and said that it would take a day or two to update the information but you should be all set. Well I’m not all set & as usual I’m spending more more time trying to get into the system. All of this to go and buy one product. I can’t believe I’m doing this for one product. That was the start to get me into that beauty supplier from the one that I’ve been in. I think I’m just gonna stay where I am and say the heck with all it is time wasting aggravation. It is beyond belief even after forwarding a copy of my license. Never had such a time and I’ve been in the business since 1977. Good grief.
