Received a brand-new faulty machine that didn’t work. They tried troubleshooting remotely, but after multiple attempts realized it was a faulty machine. After numerous emails and having to explain the problem every time to a new service personnel, we realized getting help remotely is no easy feat in case a problem arises in future. We decided to return the product for a full refund as we were within our 30-day trial period. After multiple back and forth emails, we were able to return the product for a full refund. However, they initially charged us a restocking fee of $199, but when pointed out we were returning a faulty product, we were refunded that as well without further questions. Overall the experience was a hassle, if not a trying one. We are just glad that we did not lose any money on it, but a lot of our time was wasted. The quality check department should be doing a better job. Having to explain a problem every time to someone new doesn’t count as good support either. Have to mention that whoever we spoke to/emailed to were pleasant to deal with, even if things didn’t work out! Cannot give a rating on the product as we didn’t get to make even a single roti. Customer support gets a 3 star for trying to help, but it is a hassle. Would probably give this product a try again if and when it becomes available in store with in-person service.

I bought the Rotimatic machine a year after it was first available. The machine worked decently for 3 months. Then one day the heating pan stopped moving. After multiple unkept promises for weeks, Rotimatic support rep finally called back, asked me to install this app, upgraded firmware, and got the pan moving. That firmware upgrade using this app created new challenges - uncooked rotis, nonsense “imperfect dough” messages, etc. After 1.5 years of repeated contacts with support, Rotimatic agreed to replace the machine with a new one, if I paid $150 more which they claim is warranty for year 2. Unhappily I paid and received a machine which was clearly used; it’s parts had cooking oil residue. I decided never to install their upgrade. This used machine lasted me about a year, with about 20% of the attempts ending with mashed dough or perfectly good round dough which the machine said is imperfect. Then one day the kicker got stuck and since then the dough is a mash with excess water. I tried the website to reach support, but the app is now the only supported way to reach support. And this app connects to neither the machine nor support. That’s $1,500 down the drain for this junk called Rotimatic. I’m getting a Breville bread maker instead. Don’t buy a Rotimatic unless you have a lot of time and enjoy an oven that gives you half baked cakes at random, or a refrigerator that keeps only some of your food preserved at random, and customer support is 10 times less predictable. If you ended up wasting your money already, avoid upgrading firmware; upgrades contain insufficient value and only more pain with support.

Despite all the flashy videos, marketing, “testimonials” - this is a defective product, expensive to fix, and they have THE LOUSIEST, dishonest, customer service. Our first Rotimatic started leaking oil internally in 2020 - after months of useless back and forth with their “engineers” (glorified call center techs who waste your time regurgitating incorrect info to you) we escalated to the CEOs and got a replacement Rotimatic. Less than 100 rotis into the new one, it malfunctioned. Their call center staff (who has extremely rudimentary diagnosis techniques) tried to convince two software engineers that their “sophisticated sensors” detected that we were using the wrong brand of flour. When we took them into our pantry to show them their recommended flour brand, they started stuttering new nonsense. Email to the CEO - unanswered. We’re debated filming a video dropping this piece of junk off a second floor parking structure - then decided against dirtying the ground with the subpar quality of this true piece of garbage. We are giving it away for free to someone who likes to tinker with gadgets - that’s the only use for this pathetic machinery. Don’t buy it - saves you no time, you spend hours diagnosing and fixing.

I’m sorry to say, but the truth is that your refurbished machines are very HORRIBLE! I got brand new Rotimatic in 2021, that got some mechanical issue and had to be replaced with a refurbished one in 2023, for which I took an extended warranty of three years! Only to be throwing out folded rotis almost every second day towards the end of 2024. I got another refurbished machine as a replacement in 2025 April. Apparently this third machine is also not functioning well within a few months of my replacement. Keeps on giving error of “ dough stuck “ almost every third or fourth day. So much of Flour gets wasted every time!!! Today it crossed all Heights…. Instead of rotis coming out front, they started going backwards!! I had six rotis wasted in this process…..Just to remind everyone , I have one year of warranty on this new machine and also extension of three years of warranty from my previous machine!! I sincerely do not know what to do with this machine, which was purchased to reduce my stress and make my life easier. Instead it has pushed me towards newer level of insanity!!! Extremely disheartening experience!
