MoneyBelt™ is an iOS app to help better manage your Financial Health. It allows you to manage activity in ALL of your accounts and therefore get the full picture of your Assets, Liabilities and NET WORTH.
I developed this system for my personal use because I was frustrated using huge commercial systems which either charged a fortune for yearly upgrades with few additional features I needed, or hosted all my data and tried selling me financial products by mining my information. I wanted FULL control and visibility of MY data - In MY pocket.
It takes some discipline to routinely enter your daily spending, but I do it immediately, often before leaving the store. The repeating transactions feature makes entering regular transactions take just seconds each day, week, or month.
I have been using versions of the system for my personal use for about 12 years and now have over 40,000 transactions, 40+ security holdings in 100+ accounts using 7 currencies. Since using it, I have not missed a bill payment and know my net worth to the dollar! I wanted to share the app for others who like to know where their finances stand. I hope you find it useful.

This app was fine until the last update. Now if I attempt to put in a transaction a pop up box flashes up numerous times (about 7)asking to use my current location. First transaction goes fine when I attempt a second transaction my phone locks up and requires me shut the phone down. Please fix, other than that I used to love it.

Thanks for the feedback! This is strange since nothing changed in the location services part of the app for about a year. I can reproduce your problem when location services privacy is set to “ask next time” - I will investigate.In the mean time, please try going into your phone settings, privacy, location services. Find the MoneyBelt app in the list and set to either (“while using”, or “never”). If you set to “while using”, it should populate the payee field with a payee you have used before if you are very close-by. “Never” will not use your location at all for payee lookups. Attachments - Files, Documents and Images can be added to a transaction.
Attachments are included in Backup files and replaced when restoring from a backup.
Buttons on Transaction Detail page to attach a: Photo Gallery Item, Camera Capture, Scanner Capture or Files Object.
Attachment viewer for PDF, TXT, RTF and many Image formats.
Attachments can be exported to zip file in users app Documents folder.
Attachments count & size on settings page.
