Measure distance, area, polygon, and height on surfaces. Estimate the distance from the device.
Easily measure the floor area of rooms with our completely rewritten 'AR Tape Measure Camera' app or measure dimensions like height, length, width, size, rectangular areas and distance to camera. We are now using the ARKit augmented reality technology. While you look at your camera preview, 'AR Tape Measure Camera' overlays the camera view with virtual 3D measurements showing width, length, distance and height.
Without any tape measure or ruler you can easily measure walls, buildings or any other stuff. This app is a must for architects, booth builders, craftsmen, handymen, landscapers and technology keen individuals who quickly need to measure things without having a tape measure or ruler at hand. 'AR Tape Measure Camera' was one of the first live view measurement ruler apps in the market.

► Featured measurements
• Measure room area
• Measure height
• Measure width
• Measure length
• Measure distance (from camera location to object)
• Measure units in meter or imperial units
• No tape measure or ruler needed, just your iPhone
► Benefits of the Pro Version:
• No advertisements
• Enable "Room Area" measurement mode
• "Rectangular Area" measurement mode
• "Distance to camera" measurement mode
► Limitations
This app is not suited for applications where very exact ruler measurements are needed, e.g. in construction or architecture. Do not use it where exact length, distance, height or width measurement are required. In such cases please use a traditional tape measure or ruler! It is however perfect for good estimates of room size, furniture size, picture size, building size measurement etc.

Developer Response
Due to problems with a large number of iPhones 6 we have released a new version (V2.03) which has a fallback option for devices which are not capable of ARKIt. It is online now. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Documentation shortfall
9235S
I’ve read all the documentation on the website and the user manual in the app. I also bought the Pro upgrade. This app has several nice features, but getting them to work is a problem. I’m a retired engineer, so I certainly understand the underlying concepts, but an not an iOS developer. Measuring rooms starts off with determining the horizontal plane - establishing the green dots, and setting pegs at the corners. Unfortunately, documentation doesn’t address how to handle corners which are obstructed by furniture, although there is an icon suggesting corner definition. When it starts, the message says “initializing AR session”. What am I supposed to do? I see the icons with the ruler icon, and press it to see Ruler, which shouldn’t require establishing a ground plane. Certainly, distance to camera shouldn’t need it if there is LIDAR, as in my iPhone 12 Pro. In fairness to the developer, similar apps are also poorly documented, for the most part.
Not ready for release

The interface is the best of the four iPhone apps I tried but this app has severe troubles recognizing vertical and horizontal planes - indoors or outdoors. When it finally does, the results are inconsistent- three times it correctly indicated ceiling height of 8 feet, the other time it read over 400 feet. Similar problems when trying to measure the peak of a roof. One last note: the evaluation version provides only a few measurements before flooding you with ads. C’mon guys, let folks at least learn the app before disabling it with spam.
Good app but not what I was looking for
Apocalipsis777
This app does good for measuring things on walls but not for measuring things laying on a table. I bought the pro version to see if it would give more options but it didn’t and I can’t find a way to get a refund. My advice is don’t purchase the pro version because if your not happy with it there’s no getting your money back
