I’ve written product support a few times for different issues and I never receive a proper response. My latest issue is the app isn’t updating readings while running in the background anymore. I get an alert about humidity or temp, so I’ll open the app and the readings are from last time it was opened. You must force close the app when you are done or the next time you use the app it will display old values. The app itself could use modernization and a dark mode, please!

Overall this is a great device and a great app. The app keeps it simple giving you immediate access to the parameters and data that you are most interested in. That aside, it does have usability issues. If you are examining your graphs and there is a device update the app immediately throws you back up to the top and you have to scroll back down only to have the device update a few seconds later and throw you back to the top. In addition the graphs go by hour, day, month. Completely leaving out weekly. Month is barely useful and I have no idea why you would skip weekly as week to week evaluations will be more sensible.

The iOS app is simple and reliable. Stats, graphs, and notifications. It launches quickly and connects consistently. The default alarm notifications are appropriate, minimal, and arrive predictably. The in-app documentation elegantly explains how to interpret results. Delightfully, it leaves you alone and stays out of your way. No promotions, social sharing, hardware upsells, optional feature packs, subscription add-ons, or unnecessary permissions. Some minor craftsmanship issues that keep it from being 5 stars: Interactive graphs are clunky, no dark mode support, and last view/scroll position is frequently lost when the app is reopened.
A worthless, useless interface. Sadly!

The interface is so awful that I’m considering returning the product. I want so badly to like this—their data collection is phenomenal—but they’re absolutely wasting this goldmine with a totally worthless, unusable interface. Perhaps take a look at Withings Health Mate, and how they allow you to smoothly pinch-zoom the data over time and clearly see trends and insights in an instant. For such an expensive product, I can’t believe how little has gone into its usability. I hope someone at the company reads this and changes course—I truly look forward to repurchasing the device and changing this review if that happens 🙏EDIT: The developer replied to me after I wrote this with a canned, automated response that showed they didn’t actually read what I wrote. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
