This App helps find and identify plants. When you give the App information about a plant, such as its location, flower color and the time of year, the App will quickly show you which plants match your selections.
The App includes 4,337 species of plants found in Oregon. Overall, 2,637 are "Wildflowers", 333 are shrubs, 134 are broadleaf trees, 39 are conifers, 37 are vines, 491 are grass-like, 77 are fern-like, 303 are moss-like, 137 are seaweed and 257 are lichen.
This is great for a free app. The interface isn’t 100% user friendly but it almost always gets the job done. Don’t waste your money on “Oregon Wildflowers” it is a subpar version of this app that contains 1/3rd of the species.
Great but…

Been using this app for years a reference in the field. Tons of good info and great to have. However, the time and place filter has gotten really bad over the last couple years and filters out way too many plants and is not as helpful as it used to be. Not sure what got changed with whether distances to known locations had to be closer or what but it would be great if they could roll this feature back to the same functionality it had about three years ago. It’s also an issue with other states apps not just Oregon.

Love this app, I use it all the time!But it’s a little frustrating that when searching by name the keyboard hides the bottom result. Having the option to hide the keyboard would be a big improvement, so I don’t have to struggle to see the last species

The UX design isn’t the greatest, as it took a while to figure out exactly how the logging system works. My other main issue with this app is that when logging a plant a sound effect is played even if my phone is silenced with the volume all the way down. I use the app on a regular basis.
