heyy so i might delete this because well... i just don't want to come off rude or something, but here goes nothing-DIY is an amazing website/app, i've had it for almost 3 years :) But i do have some concerns, DIY (it even says in the introduction) if for 6-16. Now i've come across a profile of someone over 16 (not an adult but still older these the targeted audience) There are people under 13 commenting and stuff on his posts, now this may just be me but- it just comes off as weird. I don't want to be quick to judge but it's also not like he posts a talent (like drawing, writing, etc.) All he does is post photos of himself and other teenage boy things. I was analyzing his profile and I see one of the mods saying that they took down two of his posts for not being fully clothed and guns/weapons. Now the weapon thing doesn't concern me too much (unless it was in a graphic way) but not being fully clothed??? I don't know about you but that seems like a MAJOR red flag, even if he's just posting himself without a shirt, keep in mind most of the users on here are MINORS, CHILDREN, and PEOPLE UNDER THIRTEEN. Shouldn't he be on something like Instagram or TikTok?? Now I don't want to be quick to judge but i've also noticed a lot of the things he likes are photos of girls. That is concerning to say the least. Guys i'm not 100% about this stuff but still, take this into consideration if you ever see this. Thanks again, a DIY user.

We’ve been using the app for a few weeks now on my daughter’s iPad, and it’s honestly one of the best apps we’ve tried. She’s 11 and loves drawing, so the art related activities really pulled her in right away. There’s a huge variety of topics.It feels safe. There’s a social side where kids can share what they’ve made, but it’s clearly moderated. It’s also very easy to navigate, and the video lessons are high quality and actually engaging (not overly childish).It’s kept her occupied in a good way, and I’ve noticed she’s even started drawing more on paper because of it. Totally worth downloading if your kid’s into creative stuff.

delete this app genuinely theres no point of it being accessible anymore. its complete slop and doesnt allow the same abilities that the original version of the app had. this is beyond disappointing as someone who literally grew up on the app. just delete it at this point, its not like you guys even update or try to fix issues with it anyways. You ruined possibly the best social interaction network for children to interact and learn about the hobbies that interest.

Hi! It's tay7 I really loved diy a year or two ago and I can't post anymore and it's not free I miss the mods and people on there and now I can't post because it shut down tip:add ads instead of changing the whole app! Thank you for responding 💙

Hi Tay7!Thank you so much for coming back and sharing how you feel. We totally understand missing the old DIY—especially the amazing community and mods. DIY was shut down by the previous owners, and after a long break, it was brought back by a new team (that’s us!). We’ve made some changes to keep the platform running and safe, but we know that not being able to post freely has been frustrating.We really appreciate your suggestion about ads—it’s definitely something we’re considering as we work on making DIY better for everyone. Your feedback means a lot, and we hope to keep improving so it can feel more like the DIY you loved.
