We’ve been members of BCU for 20+ years. Many moons ago, when my husband was the HR Director @ Rustoleum, he my husband established the relationship between credit union and company. BCU is a most reliable financial institution, and we’ve maintained our accounts across 4 states without a hitch. Reciprocating credit unions or our debit cards provide us with cash when we need it. BCU has even mailed me a cashiers check when we needed one but didn’t live anywhere near any credit union. We’ve traveled internationally and used our cards flawlessly.We’ve also used BCU to finance vehicles.I recvd a call from BCU enquiring some unusual charges on my husband’s debit card - that appeared while he was literally midflight on way to a several week out-of-state business trip. The rep disabled his card immediately. Once my husband landed and I explained what was going on, he called BCU, answered their questions and the funds (over $3,000) were back in our account before the close of business. A new card was enroute to him at his hotel and in his hand within 24 hours. What other financial institution would do ALL THAT so quickly?!?Have there been hiccups thru the years? Of course. Only a handful thought. And? Always quickly resolved (except once, and that was a combination of factors plus a blizzard so I can forgive...).I’ve referred countless people to BCU and will continue to do so. Anyone who wastes their time and money using a bank (fees on top of fees!) is a fool. Credit union all the way. And my choice is BAXTER CREDIT UNION!

The app is great, I love using it. The only thing I wish was different was on some transactions it only gives a town or something it doesn't list the store it was used so sometimes it's difficult to remember transactions you've made. If the description could be better it would be easier to remember the locations you used your card that way you could know if someone stole your card number or something if someone had used it because you could see a charge for a certain store in a certain town or something. It would be protection for people so they could know faster if they were hacked by identity thieves or something if the descriptions were more detailed. Also it’d be great to have deposits show as pending so you know what will be going into your account before it goes in.

I don’t know why BCU decided to do a major overhaul of the app because it was nothing wrong with it before. But now since this update I can’t see a lot of the information I was once able to see. It’s like they got rid of a lot of stuff instead of adding things and improving the experience. Also I’ll just be randomly signed out of the app and it says it’s due to lack of activity but I’ll be on there in the middle of doing something so that doesn’t make any sense. And it’s not like the sign out happens after a specific time because I signed right back in after the first time it happens and was logged out again within a minute. I know this is only the first version of the update so I just hope it gets better from here on out.
Okay for most things but not mobile deposit

The app is an improvement overall from the first several years that it's been available. More recently it's suffered from kitchen sink syndrome, which can make it difficult to find something specific, or even confirm that a item sought is even available in the app. Mobile deposit continues to be hit and miss. After a good run for the past couple years or so, I am again having problems getting it to accept my back images. Since I had already indicated that they were for mobile deposit only, I probably have no recourse. In short, it's less risky to take your checks to a branch or a deposit ATM. I will never trust the app again. Fool me once... Another item is that security codes on the app return an error when you attempt to authenticate on the web. This is huge because SMS authentication is a major security risk. However, thanks to this flaw, I can't get away from SMS.
