My Mercedes loves Sunoco!!! Great mileage with Sunoco! My biggest concern is that there seem to be less and less stations. In DE you can Hardly find one.However in Ashburn VA on Truro parish Dr there is a Sunoco looking gas station, all signage says it’s a Sunoco but they are selling Exxon gas. Their pumps has a very small sign on it that states Exxon. The management will not confirm when I asked it they were selling Exxon gas played like he didn’t understand English that I was speaking to him. It’s a fraud because everything is all painted and looks like Sunoco but they’re selling HORRIBLE Exxon fuel! How does Sunoco not do something about it? The pumps look like Sunoco pumps but the small sign on it says Exxon. Their store is 7 eleven which is mostly in Exxon stations now. Please look in this.

Getting the app setup was a nightmare. The required verification codes aren’t sent requiring you to call the customer service number in the message that pops up. Calling that number yields no help at all, the people that answer the phone are clueless and tell you they don’t handle problems with the app that I have to call someone else. Spent almost 2 hours on the phone talking to numerous people before I could get an intelligent human that could verify my Sunoco credit card I was trying to enter in the app so could use the app to make purchases. It also requires verification of my email address that verification never arrives either even though my email address has been correctly entered in the app. I checked to make sure the email verification request wasn’t in my spam it’s not there either. It is not being sent even though the message says it was. I’m sorry I ever got involved in this nightmare that has consumed 2 hours of my value time just to save $10 on my next statement per the promo letter that arrived with my statement. Definitely not worth the time and frustration!! I would not recommend that anymore download this app if you value your time.

It took a while to get the app set up (several tries over several days; quite frustrating). When I finally did get it to work, it worked very smoothly! I like not having to pull my credit card out, though holding the phone while pumping is a tad awkward. I’ve used the app about 3-4 times so far, and have been quite pleased. And the discount is clearly noted on my receipt. I was a bit disappointed this evening, however; although the app worked great, for some reason I got NO discount! Not sure why that would be. Also - 3c is a rather measly discount. Couldn’t they give regular customers a 5c discount? I do love the immediate digital receipt and option to receive it by email. Very convenient. UPDATE (Feb 17, 2024): it would be VERY nice if you could compare prices from, say, a 50-mile radius before deciding to get your gas — rather than having to be near a station before it tells you the price. Could you please add this functionality? Or am I missing something?

Variety of settings to fit my needs. Easy receipts right on the app, with no need to bother with pumps that are out of paper, or lines inside the station to get your receipt. Pull up to the pump, use face recognition (which I could if not on my motorcycle with a helmet and eye protection) or a 4 digit passcode you make up, enter the pump number, fill up and go. Just don’t forget to replace your fuel cap and close the fuel filler door on your vehicle. You’re all set. Love it, especially when on my bike, since my phone is generally easily accessible without getting off of the bike.
