I’ve been using Join for a few months now, and I’m impressed with how flexible the training plans are. Every Monday, I go in and tell Join how many hours I have available every day of the week. If I have 3 hours on Monday, it can give me a 3 hour ride. If I have lots of meetings and life events on Tuesday, I can tell Join I need that day off. It then builds me a training plan for the week. I can still modify my availability throughout the week if needed, and Join will modify the plan. If I don’t like the workout it plans, I can ask for an alternate or pick one myself. Or I can just go out and do a ride and then Join will analyze it and update my plan as needed. I really love the flexibility of the plans and how Join adjusts to fit into my busy life while still keeping me on track for long term growth.

This is a great app for cyclists at any level. I have been cycling and training for 6-7 years, mostly using a more “sweet spot” training philosophy. I have seen a plateau in my training, and Join has helped me enjoy my bike even more and to overcome my plateau. It is a more “polarized” model of training, and the prescribed workouts are 1) structured, 2) adaptive based on me as a rider and my life circumstances, 3) achievable, and 4) enjoyable. I use Join for my outdoor rides as well as with my indoor training on Zwift. For the $, Join is an incredible value. I am very pleased and I am looking forward to crushing some big goals this year.

Sounded good, but not sure what is going on

On the surface this sounds great. I don’t mind the apps simplistic design. However, I open the app and it perpetually says no workouts today and what is coming up and why is confusing to me. What’s next? That’s all I’m looking for. Is my FTP going to be calculated or not? Not sure, but 14 rides in it hasn’t populated. Forget the other metrics. On Connect+ I see what I did, what’s coming up with any swipes, and if I go to the calendar I see what the next few rides at least are going to be. What was the history and where is the data? I don’t get it. Am I supposed to do these other diagnostic workouts on the side unprompted? I just don’t understand my disconnect with this app. Probably just me
