Your store at Tuckahoe road in Yonkers is becoming unshoppable . I am aware of employee shortages and have seen the results of this in your store , having 4or 5 registers open and empty shelves not due to product shortages , but to no one available to stock them . I understand and allow for extra time while shopping . What I don’t understand is that because of the limited registers open , lines form quite often going the length of isles adjacent to registers . Now here’s the part that troubles me . …. In those long isle length lines the people on line are often down the middle of the isle or double parked with their carts making it impossible to shop the isle or even pass through . I’ve alerted the manager on duty to the problem weeks ago , and nothing is done . In fact the problem is getting worse by the week , especially now with can can sale going on . Often this is in 4 or 5 isles at a time . People block and are slow to react to requests to make room to access shelves or pass through . In my opinion a monitor of some kind is necessary to maintain order as the situation is becoming untenable . It will eventually cause myself and other shoppers to seek other accommodations . If everyone in line would co-operate , things would move smoothly . I’ve been going to the Tuckahoe rd. store for 25 years and would like to continue . App overall great but some flaws

I enjoy most of the apps updates and the upgrades they have made over the years. It is simple to use and search for things. I love the weekly circulars and seeing past orders for ease of reordering. The biggest con for me is when I click on the “allow substation” toggle yet the store or shopper doesn’t substitute anything. I’ll write a note in there or even ask them to txt me if any questions which never occurs. I’m not sure if maybe they don’t see those requests once the order is placed on the app? Not sure if it’s an app issue or a store/laziness issue. I also get the autogenerated “items not in stock” txt where they may or may not give me an available substitution but it often seems unreliable. Does this txt come from the app? Also not sure if it does or doesn’t. Lately it will say there is nothing to substitute it with, when clearly there has to be. For example, if I order cat wet food, ill get almost every kind that I order but maybe one flavor isn’t there. Instead of subbing any other flavor that they clearly do have in stock, it’ll say they don’t have anything. Same with rice, eggs, sodas…Sometimes this messes up the sale items as well. For example if u need 5 items for the promo, ill get only 4 and wind up losing out on the sale bc they didn’t give u any subs. It legit happens to me every single order but again, not sure if it’s an app problem or store issue. Overall it’s an enjoyable system and it def makes my life easier which is why I continue to use it.

Everyone is basically forced to shop at “shoprite”. Many reasons but to sum up monopoly is the one word that covers it.With that said … i have had to reset my password at least 8 or 9 times to gain the digital coupon feature. Being a senior and living in a senior building (who probably NEED THE COUPONS the MOST) have the most difficulty with this ridiculous system. I have helped numerous seniors to no avail because they are not computer savvy ???? This cannot be hard to figure out for whoever has implemented this ??? Its absolutely horrible. It is almost abusive to put them through it? It literally excludes them ? I see them struggling at the almost camouflaged kiosk in floral upon entering the store. It breaks my heart ?!?! Annnnd they are probably im sure being tomd to go ALL THE WAY back there from the help desk ?! This is only about a third of only this topic regarding overall issues at ShopRite… im exhausted having to type on my phone because i DO NOT have a computer. If interested in SPEAKING to me regarding ALL of the issues feel free to let me know (pretty sure i won’t hear from you…another issue altogether)—-From problems with products to EMPLOYEES… it goes on and on.One story with one employee is horrific?! To end just this portion … i would like to state the younger employees are as a whole WONDERFUL. The problems are mostly with those with years of experience not excluding MANAGEMENT.That should definitely guarantee no responses im sure ! Who knows? Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised!

Groceries badly damaged and cross contaminated

I received a delivery tonight that came to my home via a company called Shipt. Apparently ShopRite hired Shipt for my order. I was not aware a third party was being used as ShopRite does not state that anywhere when you order. The last time I ordered from ShopRite, a ShopRite truck and employee delivered to me. My order was very badly damaged and cross contaminated. The highlights of the issues include: 18 eggs broken, container open and yolks spilled on fresh vegetables and ready to eat fried chicken making all of these items unsafe to eat. Raw chicken was in the same bag as cold cuts and the raw chicken package leaked onto the cold cuts making them unsafe to eat. Ramen noodles smashed, hummus cracked open. I threw out over $100 worth of food due to the poor packing and cross contamination. I’m pregnant and my husband has an auto immune disorder so we cannot take chances with eating contaminated foods. I called Shoprite customer service to explain the problem and request a refund. The person who I spoke to said they couldn’t help me but their manager could. This person I spoke with refused to give me their last name and wouldn’t give me their managers last name, phone number or email claiming they did not know their managers last name, number or email. He said the manager will get in touch with me when they can. I need a refund for this order as the products delivered were damaged and unsafe. I’m appalled at the delivery and how wildly unhelpful customer service was.
