I am a student pastor in a church of around 120, 20-25 of those being students between 6th grade and graduation. I was using our church management software to send mass texts, but it was very cumbersome, would not send the message if it was over 160 characters, could not attach images to the message, and most importantly the text came from a five digit number that wasn’t mine, and I couldn’t see responses if the responded directly to the message. Then I found Reach, it comes from my number, (which I was already using Google voice) and it will interact with students who don’t have cellphone numbers through WhatsApp and iMessage! Brilliant! Worth $5 a month! $60/year out of my student ministry budget to have meaningful personal messages to my students that will actually engage with is a small price to pay for the flexibility and results! My one suggestion, give us a feature update to the app, that if we are using iMessage to contact someone, we have the ability in the app to choose which email or number it comes from without having to go to the iOS settings! But even this is just a very small inconvenience!

My own errors, not theirs
Now I ‘m a happy customer!
I was searching for an app that allowed me to send via text or via email simultaneously to a group of about 50 and this app said that it would but it would only send to text addresses for me. I can usually figure out tech issues but it took me several days and back-and-forth with the app support via email before I figured out on my own that I did not have the Apple email app on my phone anymore as I had deleted it long ago. I added it back and success! Also, I’d like to note that I thought I was not going to get any support at first after I didn’t hear an answer in a day and their phone number doesn’t work, but they did respond within two days via email and then continued to respond. One thing I would note though, is that the support personnel should remove the phone number if they are not available via phone for support, but I won’t take a star off for that. My messages sent, the app acted as it should and so far I’m very pleased.

Our team takes off on weekends, but even then, we sometimes still answer. Otherwise, our protocol is to answer within 24 hours, but we usually answer much faster than that. I have been using the Reach app for a week now and it is working like a charm. I used a different app for many years, stopped using it and came back to use it again and it was a disaster. Reply messages to me were seen by everyone. I stopped using that older texting app immediately. I went on a three week hunt and was so happy to discover REACH. As I read through reviews I noticed other apps were having the same difficulty as I had with my easy group app because of group texting limitations by Apple and the carriers. I even called AT&T to see if they had a product I could use. Mine is not business related and I wanted something affordable and simple to use. They had nothing to offer me. The IT support with REACH is outstanding. Sergio answered questions every day for two weeks straight. I never felt any frustration in the emails and he offered to step me through the process by phone which I didn’t need because I got it all working. I realized I had two apple ID’s which I didn’t know I had. I had four devices and they were not syncing. Sergio was gracious in resetting my account several times until I got it all worked out. Then I had some trouble with google voice which allows for messages to be sent automatically. There was a bit of a learning curve with that but with Sergio’s quick responses I was able to work that out too. The app handles just like expected. There is a subscription price but it is very very affordable. The customer service I received this past month was worth a full year’s annual subscription. Most other products cost much more and they’ve been having the same trouble with the amount of texts they can send out too.Thank you for an excellent product!Cathy

Every morning I send an inspirational message to more than 5 groups, over 100 people and I’m able to do quickly and efficiently with just a few taps of my finger. I like that while the message is sent to a group, everyone receives it individually and there’s only one notification, unlike with other group messages. I, as the sender receives messages but not everyone in the group. I’m so glad to have this app. I just hope that the monthly subscription fee will not increase any time soon. Also, I just learned I can customize/individualize each message within the group, how cool is that?If you have to send multiple people the same message and you only want them to reply to you, this is definitely the app for you.
