LENS LOOKS with CHARACTER Each portrait lens has been carefully crafted with its own photographic character, from clean depth blur to soft glow, swirl, highlight bloom, and expressive bokeh behavior. Standard, Classic, CineClassic, Portrait, Velvet Glow, Dream, Petz, Noct, and more also include simple guides to help you choose the right look before shooting. NEW 3D LUT LOOKS Shape color before you shoot with new in-camera 3D LUTs. Explore Daily, Editorial, Vintage, Monochrome, and Signature looks designed to pair naturally with the new portrait lenses and depth-aware camera pipeline. MORE PRO CAMERA TOOLS The new camera goes beyond basic capture. Manual mode gives you ISO, shutter speed, white balance, focus, exposure control, focus peaking, zebra highlights, and Luma/RGB histograms. On the output side, you can keep things light with HEIF or JPEG, switch to RAW or ProRAW for deeper editing, or pair a processed JPEG with a RAW or ProRAW file when you want both a ready-to-share image and a flexible original. Capture settings also include resolution choices, Prioritize Fast Shooting for faster follow-up shots, Maximum Processing for the highest-quality capture path, and Preserve Manual Exposure for a more intentional manual workflow. CAMERA CONTROL SUPPORT On supported iPhones, Phocus integrates with Camera Control so you can adjust zoom, exposure, focus, aperture, and portrait lenses from the physical control. After extensive work and refinement, this update brings one of the biggest improvements yet to Phocus. Phocus now delivers a much more refined depth and bokeh editing experience. Aperture and lens edits can be exported in full resolution, including from the Share Extension, while focus behavior has been redesigned to feel more natural and precise. Bokeh now responds more realistically across the scene, highlights look cleaner and less artificial, and the new focus range control gives you finer control over how wide or narrow the sharp area feels. This update also brings improved lens rendering, optimizations to older lenses, brand-new lens options, dedicated lens info pages, and a more polished lens browsing experience. Vivid looks more natural, masking and depth workflows are more consistent, relight tools feel more integrated, and the overall UI/UX has been refined across the app. The result is a faster, cleaner, and more photographic editing workflow throughout Phocus.

This update brings a major upgrade to relighting, depth processing, and scene understanding across the app. 3D Relight for All Photos -3D relighting is no longer limited to photos with native camera depth data. -You can now use 3D relight on all photos thanks to the new model-based depth pipeline. Brand New 2D Relight System -Added 2D relight filters for the first time. -Introduced both Bulb and Focus Light lighting types in 2D. -Improved Focus Light behavior so it works much more reliably and naturally. -Better Depth Model Upgraded the app’s depth estimation model significantly. -Depth-based editing is now much more accurate in both the editor and the camera. -This improves relight quality, masking, depth-aware filters, and other scene-dependent effects. New Foreground Masking -Added a new Foreground Mask for object segmentation. -Unlike portrait masking, it is designed for broader foreground object selection. -The previous foreground workflow was improved and evolved into the new Hybrid mode. Improved 3D Scene Quality - 3D rendering has been improved significantly. - The 3D scene now looks cleaner, more stable, and more usable during relight editing. - Multiple light geometry issues were fixed, resulting in more accurate light placement and behavior. Overall Relight Improvements -Bulb lighting was added as a new lighting option. -Focus lighting was refined substantially. -Many issues related to light direction, range, targeting, and scene interaction were resolved.
