Introducing, widgets! The Electricity Maps app now provides iOS widgets so you can see what's happening with your favorite zone straight on your phone. There's a widget that shows the latest sustainability metrics for a zone, and one for seeing how the electricity (day-ahead market) price will develop so you can use electricity at the right time.

Minor tweaks and improvements

We have fixed some bugs and made minor performance improvements.

The app now has forecasted data for almost all data signals (when logged in). We have also expanded coverage to add more signals and layers, and the web and mobile versions are now closely aligned!

In this release you'll hopefully see no actual differences in the UI as we're only improving the underlying infrastructure. We're doing this in preparation for a larger app rewrite coming soon that will unify the web app and mobile app once again.

Updated logo and assets - quite boring really, but we got plenty of more exciting things coming soon!

Ever wish you could go into even greater detail into energy data? Now you can with our new 5 minute granularity view!

We fixed a sneaky little bug that made it way too hard to hit the arrow to go back to the map. We also made the arrow slightly bigger while at it, because who doesn't like bigger arrows?!

- New chart alert: Introducing the Load chart! - Now showing "Preliminary data" visualization on charts (for synthetic or measured data) - Request for information about grid alerts, translations, bug fixes, app polish, etc.

We have increased geographical coverage (including Mexico!). And fixed various bugs. And made some text less confusing. Also, there is now a button to download CSVs from our new Datasets page (as we know people love downloading CSVs on their phone, right?)

Improved the origin chart by displaying exports and storage data on the negative axis, showing the selected date and time in the time controller, and implementing under-the-hood performance improvements.

Added exports and storage modes to the origin chart. 72h is now the default view with improve chart axis styling and a line to indicate midnight.

Explore trends in live and historical data with the new 72-hour view.

Added historical data navigation with hourly granularity for deeper insights. Enhanced sharing capabilities including direct links to specific charts and historical dates.

We have improved the UI to make it more clear when data is missing for a country and temporarily being replaced by estimated data. Also includes a bunch of translation improves and minor fixes.
