Paid for items worth 60k on Jumia and requested for a refund within 5 minutes because I found the items cheaper somewhere else and Jumia refused to refund my money back to my bank account but instead placed my 60k on JumiaPay wallet. This is criminal and should be illegal. Apple should suspend this app for this illegal refund practice of holding buyers money hostage on its wallet. Wallet system should only be for returned shipped items and not for items has never been shipped to the customer. They process your payment and seize your money. This’s a very bad practice and should be illegal.

The instructions given by them on how to withdraw/refund wallet balance is a lie and deceptive. They untrustworthy instruction is just a formality because even after you complete the steps to withdraw your money they still will not honor the request to return/refund your money. Their whole intention is to hold your money in their wallet so you can end up spending the wallet balance with them. I followed the withdrawal process as instructed more than three times over a period of three weeks and yet they still did not refund my money back. I was so frustrated with them that I was forced to buy things that I really didn’t want just to spend and deplete the wallet balance unfortunately. This practice should be illegal and criminal. I will think hard next time before I buy anything again from them.

Hello! Kindly follow the steps below to withdraw your money from your wallet :
- Click on Payment history & Withdrawal
- Click on the 3 dots on top of the app then Transactions
- Click on the withdraw, Additional details such as date of transaction, amount to withdraw.. will be displayed as well.
- Select your preferred bank and enter account details
- Click on “Withdraw”

I purchased an item and I was to checkout using the bank transfer feature, i then transferred to the account provided by then within 10 minutes. I waited but they didn’t confirm my payment and my money has been sent, I wrote to their frustrating customer service and they told me it would be resolved in 2 day’s but it’s been 3 weeks and nothing, they no longer reply to me anymore. I also later made a purchase of 14,900 which didn’t go through and up until now I can’t withdraw my money from the app. Even when I followed the process it was shown that the transaction was completed but nothing reflected in my account. Please return my money, and I advice people not to use this app anymore. It’s a scam app!!!!
