- Screen off option: When set to ON, the screen automatically turns off at the time the device turns off.

- Next book auto-switching options: If you automatically change the next book switching option in Settings, tabs on the last page will automatically switch to the next book. (Default manual)
- iCloud Sync : Synchronize the information (read location) of the read file and open the same file on another device (signed in with the same iCloud account) so that you can see it again.
- Two pages in landscape mode: Two pages in landscape rotation, one page in vertical rotation, iPad only
-Vertical scroll mode (= webtoon mode): scrolls vertically like webtoons, one-page mode is fixed, and some options are fixed and not applied.
- Image / PDF Night mode: Invert color / Image brightness (1 to 3 steps), in-app purchase required
- Night Mode - Invert Color: Invert the white background to black (gray) and black to white. This mode is suitable for viewing novels.
- Night Mode - Image Brightness: You can change the brightness of the image in three steps without changing the screen brightness of the device.
- Bluetooth keyboard: Supports page switching and screen closing function, direction key (asdw) page switch, ESC key viewer screen close (in-app purchase required)
- A function that changes to the next page when the volume is changed. (The sound size will change as well. Please be careful. ON / OFF in setting. Need an in-app purchase or reward view.)
- Blink: Recognizes eye blinks to switch pages (iPhone only, iOS 26+, in-app purchase required)
- Automatic Image Crop: Automatically crops the empty space on all four sides of images with a white background. (iOS 16+, in-app purchase required)

I’ve tried several comic reading apps over the years including Comic Zeal and Chunky. Chunky does a nice job, but I prefer Manga Viewer because of the number of settings that can be used to customize the reading experience. Even better for me is that it supports the Apple Keyboard. It’s very handy to have the iPad sitting upright with the keyboard folio and being able to navigate pages with the arrow keys on the keyboard. Wireless transfer over the same network works very well to import comics as well. PDFs of scanned books are handled without issue.I also like that the app continues to get support from the developers unlike other similar apps. (I’m looking at you Comic Zeal whose last update was 3 years ago!) The only additional feature I would like to see from Manga Viewer is an option to view the library of comics with larger (grid view) covers instead of just the tiny thumbnail in a list view. Just a small quibble that doesn’t take away at all from giving this a deserving 5 stars.

Honestly when I used other manga reader apps or whatever they where kinda of complicated and very weird, however this one is very simple and easy to use, and I love the fact that you can have even more features for just a dollar, you don’t even have to do that annoying subscription thing you can just pay once and that’s it, I love that a lot, I highly recommend this app!!!!

Update: App is still great but I am a little suspicious as to why the app contacts a lot of outside domains. If you have app privacy report enabled you can see what I’m referring to. This app has a bunch of features and iCloud syncing which is amazing as you’re able to seamlessly read between different devices. One of my favorite features is image fill for portrait mode. My only small complaint is that whenever I’m not connected to internet/celluar, it takes a while for the manga to show up as it’ll be stuck on “this file is organizing please wait” (very minor not a big deal).

I think this is one of the best zip file viewer for ios. I really love the app, but there’s one thing I’d like to see the improvement. when in "vertical mode (webtoon mode)", I wish I can see the image in actual size or in smaller size for ipad. if the image size small for ipad resolution, it’s very blurry and pixelated . so I want to see it in a smaller image, but there is no option for that. I wish I can reduce the image size when it’s in vertical mode. Thanks developer, and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements near future.
