My Dream Game

Punch out is my favorite series, and I’ve always wanted a game similar to it on mobile. This game is that and more. The amount of customization in this game is amazing; not only can you customize your own character, you can customize the ring and your opponents. The fights are all really fun and are extremely reminiscent of the original punch out. This game is so perfect. On top of all the content there is even an online mode, which is so awesome. There is really no bugs or problems that I’ve encountered with prizefighters. All in all this is a perfect game. Prizefighters is the best mobile game I’ve ever player. Some recommendations I have for future content are, training cutscenes or a gym that shows your character exercising. Instead of just clicking on a plus to increase your stats it would be cool if it shows a gym, and you press on a specific piece of equipment to increase that stat. Another thing is being able to customize your build. It would be cool to make your opponents bulky or really thin. These are just some ideas and the game would still be perfect without them, but I think they would just be cool to see.

Prizefighters is a prime example of how the free-to-play model in mobile gaming should always be presented. The gameplay isn’t particularly deep but neither is Punch-Out!!’s, which this title clearly takes inspiration from. The game is just pure, unadulterated, nostalgic fun with non-intrusive microtransactions that I often forget are even there.The Touch Controls with the Two Touch blocking is the best means to play versus the Virtual Buttons, though admittedly I’ve not gotten the opportunity to play with an MFi gamepad. Small details like sweat and blood splatters on the canvas and camera flashes with wild reactions from the audience after a knockdown are great. Though there obviously are no licensed fighters, fight fans will appreciate opponents’ names with amalgamations of many legendary boxing personalities (for example, Bernard Dynamite being a derivative of Bernard Hopkins and the young Mike Tyson’s “Kid Dynamite” moniker.) The game can also be played in either horizontal or vertical orientations which is a nice touch. Although designed for quick play, the amount of customization available to the player, including the look and stats of their fighter to even the color of the squared circle, adds tremendously to its replay value. If I were to suggest anything, though, it’d be to add more body types as all fighters seem to channel a prime Iron Mike. Playing as a smaller Lomachenko-esque boxer against someone the size of Butterbean would be a joy even if it adds nothing to the core gameplay. Regardless, unlike many games on the AppStore I enjoy for a few days and delete, Prizefighters keeps me coming back. As free mobile games go, this is better than a knockout; it’s equivalent to a dominant 12-round masterclass.

If I can find some way to implement it without too much difficulty, I will for sure. The biggest challenge is changing body types means that I also have to ensure that all the attire and accessories still fit properly on the characters, but if I have time I'll look into it.Thanks for playing and stay tuned for future updates!

80’s boxing game at its Best

First off, I love this game its fun it has level ups, a easy learning curve. You can customize your boxer and buy upgrades with in game money you earn, there is a boost for real money which doubles your in game winnings, I bought it for cheap and had no problems with it to support the developers for making a really great game. The matches start off easy and get more challenging which I like, if you do lose it does not feel cheap it just makes you come up with a new strategy to beat your opponents. The online mode is fun too. I the only thing I ask is to make a few more hair and facial hair styles other then that this game is a perfect game to play if you loved punch out on the NES.

I was trying to see if I could find a Punch Out!! Game on mobile, and I found this. I love this game, but I haven’t gotten knocked down yet. I’m already at the byte weight title after playing for two days and I’ve won by either KO, TKO, or decision. This game is hard, but manageable. The opponent boxers are hard but I’ve never gotten knocked down. I’m more of a push all of the buttons as fast I can guy. Punch, punch, punch, punch, dodge. I love this game and it’s very unique strategy.There’s just one thing: after winning 20 or 30 fights, there’s a glitch. The game goes back to the title screen, but you can’t get back in. I tap the screen but it only changes the opponent fighter and you don’t get. Please fix this
