since its such a simplistic game, your mind listens to the music and thinks. I imagine what it thinks about differs per person, but for me i imagine.. i feel like a kid again just imagining. i imagine that different obstacles are like parts of life: the waves don't actually do much to stop you or ruin you on their own, just like a setback in real life doesn't solely ruin you. its the repeated back to back obstacles, the double wave, stingray, then a shark and eagle all at once. just like real life. you aren't focused on your score, you're just trying to escape the whale and survive. by surviving, you're doing the extraordinary without even realizing it. just like real life. I imagine all this, then think back to the past. i start to imagine that im not actually imagining. i start to believe that im a kid again who is imagining obstacles like n adventure or game. i cant quite express what im trying to say, words have always fallen short. this is a good game.

See, my gripe with this game is that it has a lot in common with the Alto games, y’know; the ones with the snow/sand-boarding? Amazing games, and if you have played it, you’ll see that they are in fact very similar. The problem with this game is that even in the tutorial, the controls aren’t telegraphed well. “Yeah, you repeatedly tap to climb a wave, then you can tap and hold to glide and slide up and down to control your glide, and oh don’t forget you can dive in to the water if you slide REALLY down during a glide” It doesn’t help that there isn’t a punishment to spamming when going both up and down a wave, so gimmick destroyed. On top of that, the game decides it is a good idea to encourage diving often, but what you don’t know is that doing that all the time kills your speed which while Alto’s adventure handled going to slow was to have an event that has a lemur chase you for around 300M, this game has a gigantic whale follow behind you that is unavoidable once it starts it’s animation. So, if theres so many ways to die, it must be quick to start again, right? No. It takes 16 seconds to start another run, and it adds up. Overall, a decent game but enough straws and it breaks the camel’s back.

This game is really relaxing and simple, but its the kind that you can get post in easily. I always look for these kind of games and saily seas is a great example. It takes perseverance to reach the next level, but the simplicity keeps me coming back for more. I suggest this game if you are looking for a good game to play when your bored and don't want to use much thought. Just a few taps and you can glide and duck dive.

It’s nice, the game design is cute and it’s very straight forward. My only problems are that the controls are a bit annoying. In the first level I get it’s important to establish how things work, however it’s infinitely annoying that it slows down the game to tell me to “hold” too early. It works sometimes, but I more often than not am forced to glide too early and end up jumping ONTO the bomb rather than if I’d just been able to do it myself, so maybe if you turned that “slow-mo” and “forces you to follow instructions even though you understand because it’s your fifth time doing this” off it would make it a little easier.
