We bought the WiFi thermostats for our floor heat so we could easily control them when away. The app allows you to group multiple thermostats into a Home. Which is great except you can’t control the group as one. That would seem to be optimal. The website interface has more functionality than the app. Please add the ability to control thermostats in a group as one and allow a simple vacation/away time. Also, when setting a hold for multiple days I would like to be able to set the end time not just midnight on the day I select. Please make these improvements.

We have multiple WiFi devices that are operated through apps. We are experienced both in setup and in use. This system is outdated and needs a complete overhaul. We are having incredible difficulty getting it to respond via WiFi from our phone. We get immediate notification of manual thermostat changes on the phone, but are unable to control the device via phone commands. Communication is one way only. We live in another state from our mountain cabin location and need the ability to control the floor heat from our home. That was the whole purpose of purchasing this system. The actual WiFi system is functional. We can access the same WiFi system to operate our sprinklers and garage doors hundreds of miles away, bit not the floor heat. Junk!!

When you turn on the power to your Schluter floor heat for the first time (or after a reset) you are walked through the initial set up. First you’ll connect the stat to your WiFi network. Then you’ll be asked to enter an email address to use for your account. Schluter will send an email to that address with instructions for setting up your account. This is a separate login from your Schluter’s product site account (I don’t know if both can have the same email). Once the account is set up you then use your new credentials to log in to the Schluter DITRA-HEAT app.I hope this review is helpful.Cheers

So far, not so good. User interface on iPhone is clunky and what one would expect from someone who isn’t familiar with making an app for iPhone usage. Isn’t that the purpose of the app—to make it easy to program the thermostat from a mobile device. Also logging in on the actual thermostat uses old keyboard interface. Remember texting on a flip phone? Hit “a” three times to get the letter “c”. When changing to the number keyboard, it is not intuitive to get back to the main keyboard. Hopefully there will be some work on improving the interface.
