Description

Accurate Tuner for all instruments!

KeyTuner is a full-range accurate and easy to use chromatic tuner that gives clear feedback with a visual design that makes maximum use of the screen. A consistent horizontal display for fine and coarse tuning allows easy tracking of the needle as a note is played. The display is suitable for both tuning and intonation practice. Quick mode provides fast confirmation in live situations. Tone generation is also supported for droning.

An advanced digital algorithm is used to allow precise tuning of all instruments (strings, woodwinds, brass, plucked string, etc). Many tuners have difficulty with low registers or those with many overtones but KeyTuner employs algorithms specifically aware of harmonic distributions. By taking advantage of the real-time behavior of multiple waveforms, vibrato can be detected and is shown as a highlighted region around the needle.

Features:
- Accuracy of 0.1 cent (0.001 semitone)
- Works with all instruments from A0 to C8
- Large easy-to-read meter for fine tuning
- Space efficient display for coarse tuning
- Quick mode for easy adjustments
- Color schemes: Light, Warm, Dark
- 3 levels of needle dampening to control responsiveness
- Temperament selection: Just, Equal-Tempered, Strings - Supports transposing instruments
- Tone/drone generation
- Concert Pitch (A4) calibration

A#??

Is this tuner picking up AI interferences.... making no sound but it picks up an A#; what is up with this? I cannot use this app as it is not showing the frequency of A at the get go. When I sing in to adjust I see change of pitch restering but in stillness it is an A#. Way weird.
Heard back and it was explained to me there is a frequency in the room thst is picked up at first. This was helpful and confirmed my having been 'picking up' frequency (something empathic I have been so since childhood) so, must try to find out where it is born from... I learned the state of Hawaii had HELCO put in smart meters which may be affecting me.... it has been an undercurrent of sound since the change. So, I have changed my star rating -obviously this app is quite a 'sensitive' too.
Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I'll give it a go again taking your advice.

The best tuner for voice

If you’re a singer working on pitch issues, get this app. I’ve tried 10 or 15 different tuners and KeyTuner is easily the best.

(1) It isn’t thrown off by wide vibrato and other pitch excursions. As a bonus, it’s still quick to detect when I’m passing through different notes, so I can use it for interval training too. With most other tuning apps, depending on their design, you’ll either get a macroscopic view that obscures any minute tuning errors, or you’ll get a microscopic view that jitters badly if you stray from one note to the next.

(2) The app remains glued to the fundamental harmonic - the pitch you’re aiming for and which our ears identify automatically. In contrast, most tuning apps simply focus on the *loudest* harmonic, which may be the second, third, or higher (depending on your voice, the note, the vowel, etc.) and generally won’t be in tune with respect to the closest note.

KeyTuner’s interface is unique but very polished, and it’s clear that lots of work has been put into the harmonic identification and time-based averaging algorithms. I haven’t needed to use this app for any other instruments but I can only imagine those modes are equally well designed. Huge kudos to the people who produced this app.

AWESOME TUNER APP!!!

UPDATE: Not only did they respond to my review, but they FIXED the issue as well, and within a couple of DAYS of posting my review! Great job, developers!!! 😃👍

Original review:
This is an awesome tuner, but the only thing I have an issue with is that the letter keys to audibly hear the sound are not transposed. In Alto Sax mode (Eb), when I tap the A# key, it is audibly playing a G. However, the microphone is synced up with the correct key; when I play a G note, it displays the G. I’ve tried adjusting settings and have not found a solution to this issue. Please fix this, and I will change my review to 5 stars because I like this app, but I want to love it! 😊
