I like this app and it’s layout but it has its flaws. I cannot buy anything using Apple Pay. I called the app and they told me to call my bank and when I called the bank they said the app was declining the purchase not them. Called the app again and they told me to wait a few weeks too see what’ll happen.. of course nothing changes and I’m stuck with a $500 weekly limit unless I want to wait a week for bank transfers

Best Mobile XMR Wallet, By Far

CAKE is hands down the best mobile XMR wallet available. It’s simple, reliable, and intuitive. Compared to the official desktop GUI, it’s a night and day difference. The developers seem to genuinely care about the community and, from what I’ve experienced, have a strong sense of duty in terms of upholding and protecting privacy. Almost all of the negative reviews I’ve read were absolutely a result of user ignorance or error, which is a shame. If you cannot grasp the most fundamental aspects of how cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency wallets work, you have no one but yourself to blame if you make a mistake.

Unsecure, and easily hackable. Or a scam. Both?

I tried exchanging btc to monero with this app. Set up both wallets, transferred btc to the wallet, then exchanged it for monero all within the app. Sounds convenient, right? Wrong.

As I was waiting for the exchange to finish, I see it complete, and the SECOND it completes, the monero is sent to an outside wallet.

No way a human did it that fast. I’m 90% sure they just siphon a certain number of exchanges automatically and then blame the user.

I was told it was my fault because my app wasn’t up to date (no notifications told me I needed an update). They said they’d try to get the money back but had to focus on issues that weren’t caused by “user error”. I don’t see terrible security as a user error. These guys are scam artists. Look online, it happens a lot.

The positive reviews here are either fake (standard with iOS apps) or people that have used it without being robbed yet. Because in all honesty, the idea of the app is great. Too bad they don’t take their security as seriously as their snide customer service remarks.

We’ve immediately solved the BTC security issue that was found in May, 2021. Cake Wallet app had an external security audit that proves that the app is 100% safe. We believe that either you must have seen the warning instructing you not to send funds to your wallet, or you failed to update your Cake Wallet app, in breach of our Terms of Service.
