With the official PRESTO app you can manage your card and tap your iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for transit. Use the PRESTO app for iPhone to: • Convert a physical PRESTO card to PRESTO in Apple Wallet and tap your iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for transit (not available on OC Transpo) • Load funds instantly with NFC • Load transit passes instantly with NFC • Pay with Apple Pay, debit/credit cards, or saved payment method • Set up and manage Autoload and Autorenew • Manage up to 10 PRESTO cards • Check your PRESTO card balances • View transaction history • Receive low balance/pass expiry reminders and email receipts for fare purchases • Buy a PRESTO card and create a PRESTO account • Display the time that your active transfers will expire with the check balance feature • Set, modify or remove a default trip for GO Transit rail trips through the settings menu PRESTO can be used on: • Brampton Transit • Burlington Transit • Durham Region Transit (DRT) • GO Transit • Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) • MiWay (Mississauga) • Oakville Transit • OC Transpo (Ottawa) • TTC (Toronto) • UP Express (Greater Toronto Area) • York Region Transit/Viva (YRT/Viva) For security reasons, the PRESTO app is not supported on jailbroken devices.

Pretty Useless app, considering its main purpose is to serve flexibility when you don't have loose cash/coins or TTC tokens on a bus. The average time for your money to actually show up on your card account before you tap on the device is 24hrs. Save yourself from the embarrassment of not having funds when you tap your card on the bus. (Even so, a big thanks to all those kind TTC drivers who still let me in). TTC, i have seen underdeveloped 3rd Tier cities with a better operated electronic transit pass system. Dump your payment processing vendor/app contractor and help your staff and the PEOPLE.

With the recent PRESTO App update, you can now instantly load your PRESTO card and check your card balance using your iPhone’s NFC capability (requires: iPhone 7 or higher, running iOS 13 or higher). To check your card balance, swipe past your last card on the app's home screen and select “Check Balance”. A quick tip to help you out; when you load or check balance, follow the on screen instructions to hold your card to the back of the phone until you hear the confirmation sound. ^RS

Having rode the NYC metro for years and going from tickets to ticketless, I was thrilled that the cards were tap. What was embarrassing is that you need to purchase a card and can’t use your preexisting credit card even on your phone. Furthermore the price for a card and the inability to share a card you’re going to use only a few times is a huge embarrassment and should be revised. The waste of money and resources is subpar and I would’ve thought TTC would do better, obviously this wasn’t the case.

Furthermore the price for a card and the inability to share a card you’re going to use only a few times is a huge embarrassment and should be revised. The waste of money and resources is subpar and I would’ve thought TTC would do better, obviously this wasn’t the case.

Stolen 20$ after lost card

5 dollars stolen
I’m trying really hard to transfer this lost card to a new card but everything is not working and the Virtual assistant is not helping. It goes “your transfer is now cancelled” and once I agree to transfer the balance to a new card it proceeds to tell me “the card is cancelled, want to cancel it”. I though I already cancelled it then it proceeds to go on in that loop. Imma keep trying to get my 20$ back but I’m really frustrated about it.

I’m trying really hard to transfer this lost card to a new card but everything is not working and the Virtual assistant is not helping. I though I already cancelled it then it proceeds to go on in that loop. Imma keep trying to get my 20$ back but I’m really frustrated about it.

When you try to sign up (which should be optional if you just want to check your card balance) — it stucks and hangs my while iphone 13 forever. I can’t even reset it until 10 minutes passes. I bet you’re mining bitcoins or something like that. Or you should fire all your ios developers immediately and find normal ones.
