I like the maps more that in any other navigation app, the graphics are second to none. The traffic display is also excellent. I would improve the CarPlay integration since it only integrates with the center screen, unlike Apple, Google maps and Here Navigation which also display instructions in instrument panel and Heads-up display, if available. It would be nice if TomTom joins this list since the app is good. Couple of small bugs, like it takes some time for app to figure out the direction of travel and change the map view from 2D to 3D, also if day/night settings differ on iPhone and CarPlay sometimes it has trouble to adjust the map color. Opening the app on the phone usually fixes that. Other than that this is the app I use as default.

Not as good as the built in maps app

We have been using the app since we had a TomTom device and liked it but discontinued using it because it wasn’t as convenient as just using our phone. We were excited to use your app because of our experience with the TomTom device, but the app isn’t as accurate and sometimes gives false directions that would make the trip much longer. It’s so frustrating we will probably just use our maps app on our iPhone in the future. We also don’t use Google Maps for the same reason.

A little buggy
CarloInTX
Frequently calls major highways by their street name. This is fine in the city you’re in, but it often picks some other city. For example, tells you to stay on Walnut Street for 42 miles. You’re staying on US Highway 281, and is called several things, but is not labeled Walnut Street until you arrive in the town you leave Highway 281. Meanwhile you have driven through towns where it is labeled Rice. Not once does it tell you to remain on Highway 281.The app also more often than not repeats the last instructions it gave you. It tells you to turn left. Then after you do so, and before you take the anticipated next exit, it will say to turn left. Take next exit. That is confusing. Besides these weird quirks. It is fine as a navigational aid.

Hi there, apologies for the trouble, and thanks for flagging this. We’re aware of an outage affecting the syncing and visibility of places and routes, so you may be unable to sync or restore them right now. Our teams are working to fix the issue. We appreciate your patience. ^Jas
Not very informative

Reviews for TomTom App1. The ability to be able to add multiple stops within your route, instead of only being able to do one route to one place at a time….how about waypoints? (What if I had two or more stops for errands, etc?)2. Other views (such as Satellite View) would be more aesthetically pleasing.3. It would be nice to be able to tap on a spot on the map (such as a road closure, construction, etc) to find more information out about the event - like a rough estimation on how long those conditions will be and/or maybe something like it is construction to fix a bridge.4. Adjusting the waypoints would also be cool - meaning, changing from Point A to beginning at a different location instead of where you are on the map presently. What if I wanted to figure out the distance between Pittsburgh and Chicago, but maybe I’m in Central PA and I’m trying to plan a vacation?I do not have CarPlay. I am able to see road closures between point A and Point B, etc with the icons and the red line, but no other details - it’s just I think that it could be refined a little bit.And with all of those improvements, this app would be better able to compete with Apple’s main Maps app or any other maps apps that are available now on the App Store.

Hi! We’ve shared your feedback about multiple waypoints, Satellite View, and event details with our team. For incidents, once a route is planned, you can report closures or hazards by tapping the triangle icon with the "+" sign. Thanks for helping us improve! Thanks,^Rahyl
We've fine-tuned a few things under the hood to keep every drive smooth and reliable with TomTom. Keep your updates on so you never miss a thing.
