before i say anything else, i will first and foremost say that moomoo’s papertrades accounts feature is awesome, especially for a new trader or anyone who wants to compete in trading options using fake money but real stock data and options contracts. the weekly options tournaments are a very cool idea. but apart from that, and being used to robinhood mobile app for my main brokerage account, i was a bit disappointed in moomoo’s user-friendliness initially. but, now that i am getting it all figured out, im realizing that it is not a lack of user friendliness that i was experiencing, but moreso a wealth of extra features that robinhood doesn’t have. rh keeps it very simplistic, and that’s fine, but moomoo has so much more to offer for additional features.Community discussions, following other accounts, more news and notifications in regards to news that is sometimes quite valuable info or catalysts about particular stocks or securities. Linked to Trading View charts for optimization and analysis, there is a points program where you gain from daily logins and accomplishing set tasks, points can be used to buy coupons for stock discounts. moomoo gives away free shares of randomly selected stocks quite generously if you make deposits (up to 60 shares, and 5 shares for only $100 deposit) and keep them in the account for 60 days. i even got a LCID share the day before they announced their robotaxi partnership with uber. in conclusion, im kinda fond of this app and i think its got a lot of good stuff to offer

Moomoo has been an excellent brokerage! Pros: They provide real time quotes, DOM, T&S and anything else you may need that other brokers charge a fee for. This ALONE sets them apart from most brokerages. The fill times in my experience have been lightning fast, which is extremely important to me as I’m looking to enter and exit positions very quickly. Excellent software stability. I have not experienced any delays or issues with the software to date. Even their maintenance schedule hasn’t caused any delays that I have been personally affected by. Cons: They currently only offer margin accounts as of May 2024, which may not be suitable for everyone as you may be limited on the number of trades you will be able to take in a five day period (PDT Rule). The platform layout is a little rough on the eyes in my opinion. Nothing terrible, but as a reference I prefer/enjoy the layout of Webull much more. Also, the platform is only available via download to PC/MAC or app on your phone. No web page access whatsoever. (Chromebooks won’t be able to access the Moomoo platform)Lastly- In my opinion this is not likely a good choice for beginners. Personally, I think you should start with TradingView first to learn the basics. All in all I find this is to be a fabulous brokerage that I truthfully believe you will not be disappointed with. So my review for this app is negative 100, do not download it. I downloaded the app to check out the possibilities of new tools as a active trader that may or may not be on this platform. I signed up using my phon number , big mistake , from there i was sent a text message asking if i need help on the platform text back for yes or no. So i replied no. Shortly after i received a call from the company and again i said don't not call my number , but that didn't stop them from calling again a hour later. Again i said you can not call my number and put it on your do not call list. Shortly after i was sent another text message again trying to get me to do whatever they were wanting , and who knows because it never got beyond the point of hi, please don't call. So i deleted the app, and block one number, but this is either the company not respecting the rights of me or they clearly have an issue you leaking your data. Either way huge mistake to download.UPDATE to response of the developer , no why would i contact you again inside your app to give you this review, no. Personally i think you need to change you business model, and or be kick off apple store and possibly you app can open doors to some time of weird crazy hacking, that just an option though.

Navigating this app is very confusing and difficult. It has lots and lots of features that aren’t straightforward. Like promos and discounts that aren’t clear how to use them or what they do. They rewards are a little misleading and very difficult to find even after you unlock them. They promise high rates on your uninvested cash but you have to move it to a different account but oh wait you can’t move it no hold on there is a help article in the app about it but instead of taking you to the menu to do the task it’s describing it shows step by step pictures but guess what all the menus are different than the pictures and the features aren’t in the same place. So you have to withdraw the money back into your bank account maybe and then deposit back into the other cash account that gets the interest rate but it takes over a week for each transfer so that’s half a month and wait can I even buy stocks from this other account who knows. It’s easier to read a textbook and find answers than it is in this app. There seems to be lots of great information but it is extremely difficult to navigate. I should have put this near the top but IF YOU ARE A NORMAL COMMON PERSON USE ROBINHOOD IT IS A THOUSAND TIMES EASIER TO USE AT LEAST. THIS ONLY LOOKS GOOD IF YOUVE BEEN TO WALSTREET BEFORE TO TRADE STONKS. Another example of the confusion and frustration, they have something where you can play the stock market with fake money to test how investing would work. Sounds like a wonderful feature right? Well it’s hard to tell if you are in that or actually using your real account so you may think you’re there and put in an order for $1000 but wait that was actually your money and you just bought something you’d didn’t really want.
