My wife and I love to camp in our national Parks & Forests. We once had the paper passport, but there were occasions when we forget to stamp and others when we simply forgot the book. This app makes it so easy and graphically fun to log one’s visits to our greatest natural resources! Not only that, the customer service is fantastic! I was having issues, totally user fault, and Ivan was quick to respond and very helpful in explaining my mistakes!

Inconsistent park listings

The concept of this app is great, and it has introduced me to parks nearby that I didn’t know where there. However, my local park is no longer listed (it was when I first downloaded the app) and it appears as though only a very small handful of the New York State parks are listed. I thought this would be a fun for the kids to earn badges as we went to places, but if most of the parks we will go aren’t listed it’s pointless. I wish there were a way to add a park to the list, if there is already I can’t find it. And also the park search function could use some work, like searching by park name.

Thank you for reviewing the ParkPassport App! We have made significant updates since 2020 - we hope you are still using the app. New York State Parks are still not fully incorporated into the app but we are happy to added parks to the app for you. Email us at parkpassport@parktrust.org. You are now able to search for a park by name and we are looking into functionality that would allow users to submit parks to be added. Thank you.
I love the idea of this app BUT ...

We travel a lot and we've been looking for an app like this one. We love the idea, but when we are trying to check in into a park, the app crashes. After doing it a few times and clicking on some of the menus, we do get lucky sometimes and can check in. It also doesn't recognize all parks unfortunately. Today we were at the Desert Wildlife Refuge, which is a huge park in Nevada, but it was impossible to check in, it didn't recognize it as a parkAn option to manually check in into a park would be great, and/or to manually add a park if it's not in the database

Hello, Cindy Vegas! Thank you for reviewing the ParkPassport app. We have made significant updates in the app since last February 2021. We hope you will give the ParkPassport app another shot. We love your idea of being able to submit a park or a manual check-in for parks not found in the app. If you are still having issues or have additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at parkpassport@parktrust.org.
A Must Have App For Outdoor Enthusiasts
Faithful Chaos
I just wanted to send a message of THANK YOU!! For years I have looked for an app just like this one and have been so frustrated to have continually come up empty handed. To have every park listed in one place will be so helpful to our family. We hike a lot, several times a week and this app is going to be such a great addition to our planning. Thank you thank you for creating this app!
